and why does it have to be someone from the Philippines? They claim to be from Manchester in the UK with an English name but this is obviously not written by somebody English as the language is appalling and nobody calls it Manchester City (that is the name of the football team not the place)
Food Service Supervisor doesn't sound like something that a Canadian couldn't do. Are you sure this is legitimate? you will only get a successful LMIA if they can prove that there is nobody in Canada who can do this job.
Job Bank really is for citizens or PR holders. you might find something on there that interests you but the employer might not want the hassle and expense of applying for a LMIA
A lot depends on your own bank. I got a large car loan for 4 years but they wanted a minimum 25% down payment and granted it on an "exceptional" basis. I have a Scotiabank newcomers account which does offer extra benefits
It took approximately 2 1/2 months to get the LMIA and then approximately the same amount of time to sort out work permits/study permits for the family and myself.
They will only employ a foreigner if they can't find a Canadian to do the job. Somehow I doubt that it is impossible to recruit a local to work in a supermarket unless it is some niche marketing or IT role.
