I have changed my mailing address twice and it still reflects the old one (I first changed it well over month ago). I don't think it is something to be too concerned about from what i have read. I believe they contact you via email.

I would explain the situation and then even try and get her some sort of mail delivered to your/ her address. Maybe she could open a bank account too that way you'll have another thing with joint addresses?

Hi, do you have anything at all in both names (bill's, accounts etc?). I think you can write a letter and explain that you split everything and possibly go into detail as to who pays what and so on.

I think you should mention that you have been friends since 2012. It does ask how long you have known each other. In terms of proving that you were friends since then until you were in a relationship you could show you studies together and perhaps you were Facebook friends as well? I don't think...
