I don't believe too much. We had the request about 2 and a bit months after the started processing our application (post sponsorship approval). Our BG check went into progress maybe a couple/few weeks after that.

Just when I was about to send docs to Aus I got an email from Rome to send doc's there. I had emailed Ottawa a couple days before hand about it but was sceptical they would reply as I updated my address 3 times in the past and it was never done. So all is looking good. Thanks for your help guys :)

Once your VO receives photos and copy of passport they will issue you a COPR (that is what you need to enter Canada) You generally have 12 months from when you did your medical

Thanks CDNPR2014! I have just been on the phone with the call centre and they advised me to write a cover letter explaining my address never updated in the system and to still send my documents to Sydney Aus, and they will be able to return my COPR to my address in Italy.

Hi, We had DM on the 8/3 and got out PPR email 9/3 we have 30 days to post our info to the VO and until you land, you have a year from whe. You did your medical. Hope that helps :)

I wouldn't be concerned at all. I didn't get confirmation that they even received my application until a month after they received it, then a couple weeks later I was approved as a sponsor.
