Ray of Hope - 104th draw

That's really funny. I took mine in the US and mine matches this format too. 18US... This could really help some people get ahead if they have their electronic confirmation already before the hard copy. Maybe this should be a sticky post?

Ray of Hope - 104th draw

Does anyone know if we will have to do biometrics from the US for this draw? I'm aware that biometrics starts December 31, 2018 for the Americas. Since the documents are due just before December 31, 2018, does that mean I don't have to do biometrics? Or will I have to do it since PPR won't be...

    Letter of Explanation question

One more question. I've worked at my company over 12 years. It was just spun off less than a year ago from a subsidiary of a larger company. Before that time, it was a DBA name of the larger company. All of this is provable with internet records from corporation searches. Should I provide an...

    Letter of Explanation question

Thank you for the help so far. Just to clarify: WES required original transcripts mailed directly to them (or mailed to me and then re-mailed without breaking the seal). Since I can't upload them without breaking the seal on the envelope, should I order official transcripts, scan them (breaking...

    Letter of Explanation question

I thought you said the new marriage certificate replaces the old one in the first reply. With all both required documents, they were both issued by the same institution that issued it originally. The birth certificate is a certified true copy. The diploma, as it's largely ornamental, doesn't...

    Letter of Explanation question

I was misreading the required documents. I see now that birth certificate is only required for proving that a child has the parents indicated (not an issue here). Canada doesn't care if the documents are certified by the issuing authority but not the original for marriage certificates? Should...

    Letter of Explanation question

Hello friends. I accepted an ITA last night. I have not yet begun to upload documents, which I plan to do this weekend. I have a question regarding Letters of Explanation. I have a few things that I would like to explain to the officer, such as: birth certificate issues: I have the original...

I personally think you're in good shape. The score distributions are very favorable for you if the distribution remains even partially similar. Probably only PNPs would mess you up, but maybe we're done with those for a little while?

Interesting. I hadn't thought about the impact of IELTS results since you must have an IELTS result to register an EE profile and I didn't need to re-take it. I was thinking only about the impact of PNP as a method to massively raise scores.

    Could someone please explain how the CRS was 442? They drew 3,900 and the score distribution shows the following. 3,900 - 435 (Scores 601-1200) - 1,773 (Scores 451-600) = 1,692 Only 736 people had scores 441-450. 1,692 - 736 = 956 9,177 people had scores 431-440. The remainder 956 should...

Oh, cool. Well we needed all we can get, since we are both in our mid-30's now. Thankfully we got masters degrees when we were younger. I didn't know the CLB equivalents, I guess. I only know what I got in IELTS and put into the CRS calculator.

Nothing but respect for you guys and gals that have to score highly on IELTS with English as a second language. People looked at me like I was nuts in Oklahoma City and asked "Why are you here?" and "Americans have to take the IELTS?" They were all there for the same reason as me: Canadian...

Received ITA @ 6:06 PM central time yesterday (4:36 AM IST today according to timeanddate.com). My EOI was entered on Oct 17 and updated on Oct 18 (so it showed the date as Oct 18). Just FYI. CRS 454.

454 as posted above. I was just wondering for others, since it's quite odd to see the CRS going higher and higher as the year goes on, based on previous years that I've researched (2016 and 2017). I'm hoping I get an invite today.

Is the CRS cutoff going up and up due to all the PNPs lately? Do we expect it to descend back into the 430's before the end of the year? I'm relatively new to all of this. I just started with IELTS prep in June and the IELTS in July. I waited to get my PCC, IELTS, and WES before entering EE. I...

Ray of Hope - 104th draw

I was googling trying to figure out why, before I received assurances from you all about 24 hours. I saw some people saying you had to do the job bank, but I had read also on CICNews that the job bank was optional now. As long as my CRS is higher than the cutoff and the application says I'm...
