Keep trying... ielts is the best option. I took almost 17 ielts exams to get 7 band in writing.Guys, any chances for CEC program specific draws anytime sooner? I don't think they had any over last couple of years I guess, so it's high time for one.
Sitting at 427 for so long with so many ielts attempts and still trying month after month for CLB 9. Feeling frustrated. My biggest problem is MCQ with long texts in listening and writing.
Nothing but respect for you guys and gals that have to score highly on IELTS with English as a second language. People looked at me like I was nuts in Oklahoma City and asked "Why are you here?" and "Americans have to take the IELTS?" They were all there for the same reason as me: Canadian immigration. We were the only US citizens there, however.Keep trying... ielts is the best option. I took almost 17 ielts exams to get 7 band in writing.
And after long wait and practising ielts, my crs score was updated to 441 from 421.
I’ll suggest KEEP TRYING IELTS.
I think CLB10 nets you 3 more points per section over CLB9.Nothing but respect for you guys and gals that have to score highly on IELTS with English as a second language. Thankfully, as a native speaker, I was able to score all 9's (CLB10). My wife scored 9/8/9/9 (CLB9). Good luck to you all in achieving CLB9. Note: I got no extra points for CLB10 vs CLB9.
Oh, cool. Well we needed all we can get, since we are both in our mid-30's now. Thankfully we got masters degrees when we were younger. I didn't know the CLB equivalents, I guess. I only know what I got in IELTS and put into the CRS calculator.I think CLB10 nets you 3 more points per section over CLB9.
Yours is a CLB12, however You're both CLB10+!
Tough luck, but just temporary. I missed the last draw by less than an hour too. Don't worry and good luck!heights of bad luck!
I submitted my EE profile 3 hours later to the time yesterday's draw took place
Cut off was 442 and my score is 443
Was expecting the draw to come on Wednesday, but they surprised me with another Monday draw
I too think somebody actually checks profile completeness before sending ITA coz an automated job for sending 3900 pre-set ITA letters/mails shouldn’t take this long.Is there any correlation between the day the profile was submitted/updated + score and when they send out the invites?
Why is it taking so long if the process of sending invites is automated?
Maybe they do a manual check before actually sending out the invites :/
Have not received mine either... cryI too think somebody actually checks profile completeness before sending ITA coz an automated job for sending 3900 pre-set ITA letters/mails shouldn’t take this long.
Anybody received any ITAs today IST?
Just spoke to IRCC and was told that my profile says 'invitation pending' so I should just keep waiting patiently and it'll come. So maybe call them as well, waited 45 minutes on hold though 18882422100. Good luckHave not received mine either... cry
Thanks a lot for sharing! I’ll give it another day and wait.. wonder what causes the delay.Just spoke to IRCC and was told that my profile says 'invitation pending' so I should just keep waiting patiently and it'll come. Though the draw is announced the ITA's are some times sent end of the day, thats the reason why it may take upto 24 hours for one to receive an Invitation mail or update.I too think somebody actually checks profile completeness before sending ITA coz an automated job for sending 3900 pre-set ITA letters/mails shouldn’t take this long.
