    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

No, it is 10 years or since you are 18 whichever comes first. I definitely agree with everything you recommended Jurjen. ;)

Can you ask them how they could possibly be putting anything on your file as far as where you lived and where you were born if they say they do not have a record. I agree it is strange. I wish I could help so much more.

Call whom, FBI or office that deported your family? I think I would still get it just in case.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

To be honest this seems a bit more than what I know how to help with but I will still and try. Do you have a certified copy of your birth certificate? Could you send it in? I would recommend that you call the FBI back and have the office that arrested you to confirm in a letter that they do not...

working Voluntary without a working permit?

I am still looking on the CIC site for reference but what mercur explained is pretty well on. I know you may not be a foreign student but it does explain a bit more about the aspects of volunteering. I will try and find some more information on it. Here is a link...

I understand. I am sorry I was not aware. That must be very difficult as I know even for myself I used to have to wait what felt like forever to try and get a hold of someone. Even then I had to hope for a decent one. I do think you would be much better off with FOSS notes then since you are...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

I waited almost 9 months for mine to show but this isn't the case with 2011 applicants Jurjen. Look at their chart. I would really try to keep getting ahold of an agent. I know it is a pain and there may be times that an agent won't be willing to help but try again. If you like though and if...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

Hi Angus! Well it could be because of a backlog but I understand your worry. Before I recommend anything I just wanted to know what things you may have already tried to find out up until this point.

    Job!!!

You need a SIN number. Go to your local Service Canada office to get it. It doesn't take long to get. You won't get the actual card that day but you get the number which is all you need.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

All they can do is give you an average. No one actually knows how long it will take for any local office to get in contact with people for landing. Could be different for everyone depending on how the office works, if they contact by mail/phone, if the mail runs slow if it is mailed, etc. I wish...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

No, once you have "Decision Made" everything is done. I am sorry that I wasn't aware before. All you need to do is wait for your local office to contact you via mail, sometimes they do call but mostly small/non-busy offices. If you want an approximate time for how long you have to wait for...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

You have to wait until they contact you but you can always call CIC and ask what the average time is. Just be aware that sometimes their averages just aren't that well. Second stage depends both on the office and how long it takes to finish your background checks and medical.

Aww why thank you. You're very nice too. :P And you're welcome! You don't have to ever thank me, I just want to help. Haha, like CIC would spend any money on me but thank you, what a sweet thing to say. :)

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

Oh hun, I am so sorry about all of this and the thing is, they are the ones that cause this especially in your situation. Normally you would have been given a SIN that day after landing but only the Service Canada's that are located at the same building as where you land, give you a SIN without...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS and WELCOME TO CANADA!!! :D ;) Lastly, you have to realize that only select local CIC offices do offer to get a permanent SIN at the same location (maybe like 1 or 2 do). He was wrong to say that you could get it at another location. Most people the only way they can...

You're most welcome gigi1612. No I am not exactly sure what it does or what it means per say. I just know that it isn't anything to worry about.

I have never really been able to confirm what AVRES SECURITY means but the closest me and another member got was for the abbreviation: Automated Voice Recorded Service. Everyone has this on their FOSS even I did so everything is fine. And for the background checks, does it actually say CIS...

Hi there. No, EI is not social assistance. Yes, it is okay to print the pictures on regular printer paper with descriptions, that's what I did. And it is meaning your education through life in total. Number 1 was a different question, there you would put whatever your highest level of...
