Have you actually done your soft landing yet? From your other thread it is not clear. If you have, then yes your COPR would be sufficient. For the reason, if you are traveling to collect your PR card, it would make sense to say that - or that you are taking a nice weekend trip.

Are you compliant with RO? You don’t need job offer letter when applying for PRTD unless you are trying to use it to justify something.

I don’t think you have to physically go to the VAC. The last time I looked everything could be submitted via email.But since you are in NY, why not simply drive to Canada - then you don’t have to worry about the PRTD.

It might be an annoyance but does it really matter? If you used the COPR to get signed up for ID, health, etc when you landed, there isn’t really a immediate need for the PR card. Sure you need it when returningto Canada by air but if you are compliant with your RO the PRTD is a reasonable fix...

Seems like there is quite the difference between applying for a visit visa vs student or permanent resident. You might want to research on options.

Yes, certainly possible. But the US side is nowhere near as liberal with residency as Canada so it would be difficult and time consuming to maintain them both, even if living and working close to the border. I was just interested in whether there was a reason given the amount of work involved.

Likely take some research on your part, but information is readily available - immigrate to Canada and study in Canada.

I had a funds transfer rejected several years ago (not Scotiabank) and it took weeks before the funds were back in original account. Hopefully your situation is resolved sooner.

If you meet the RO, as in you have the minimum (or more) days in Canada, don’t see why you would add H&C.

Does the income even matter? Spouse is responsible but unless OP has a child that would need to be sponsored, there shouldn’t be an income requirement.

When did you become PR and how many days in Canada do you have for the last five years. I find border guards to be incredibly nonchalant towards US passport holders who present as PR (or don’t say anything), but this doesn’t necessarily translate or apply to those who are reviewing PR card...
