I didn't flagpole, but I did land at Sumas in 2007. Other than having my car denied (due to not understanding export rules from us side), it was very quick there.

Yes, she had been out of country more than five years. We didn't provide anything from CRA, and I'm pretty sure she didn't file 0 income those intervening years.

Your situation is almost the same as mine. My wife sponsored me in 2007, as a homemaker (we had a CAN child, and another on way). She had only one year of employment in the previous five years, and that had ended over a year before the application. I don't have the application any longer, but...

This is the problem. Sure you can work without a PR card (if you find an employer willing to hire without it), but you can't get any of the other needed documents. I am coming back to CA after about seven years, so the COPR is useless. How do people do it, just live off savings for months?
