Permanent Resident Travel Document Application Denied

What was the basis of the H&C? 10 years is a long time, so it is not likely to be granted on appeal, but you never know...

Renewing PR card, married a Canadian since original was issued.

Are you residing outside of Canada? The BC personnel was likely referring to this, which states that a Permanent Resident who is accompanying a Canadian citizen spouse outside of the country is credited for time spent with spouse. I am in such a situation, but wouldn't trust completely in it...

Renewing Perm Resident card while on vacation

From an old post, I see that the guides OP10 and ENF 27 allow for someone who is residing overseas to apply for a PR Card while temporarily in Canada. Does anyone have actual experience with doing this (recently)?

    Baby born a broad

You should apply for citizen certificate for your child, as they are a Canadian. Your child will not be able to enter Canada on a Zambian passport; there are options for having an expedited passport or exception - though it doesn't look like your child would qualify for the exception because...

I got a PRTD after being 13 years outaide canada, what’s next ?

#1 - You should apply for a new PR card after returning to Canada. If your PRTD is marked RC-1, a favorable decision was made on H/C request, so there shouldn't be an issue. #2 - I doubt there would be any issues, as you have been accepted for H/C. It is interesting that your case would have...

Help! Seniors! Expired PR apply for PRTD

So after spending just two weeks out of over 10 years in Canada you want to come “back”? I don’t understand (yes, cultural issues with family) the # of people who go through the process of getting PR and then just throw it away.

Not meeting residency obligation.. Travelling to Canada

Best thing to do is stay in compliance with RO... otherwise there is always the potential for issue. If you get back in, you shouldn’t leave until you are back in compliance... so almost two years. Even taking a quick run across the border could end badly.

Pls help! Not sure if I've met the RO, wanting to go back to Canada

I’d fly to US and take train... if you have a PR card valid until 2021, you shouldn’t have an issue.

Pls help! Not sure if I've met the RO, wanting to go back to Canada

Look at the date you could return to Canada - say 3 January 18, and go back five years. How many days in Canada do you have? ~ 30 days in 2015 ~ some days in January 2013 The date your PR card expires doesn’t matter, as the RO is determined based on the date you are being assessed... Having...

Living in Canada, working in US.

I did it the other way around, living in WA (as citizen) and commuting to CA as PR). Never had any real issues, through was questioned a few times by immigration on both sides. Having a NEXUS card made it much quicker. Would agree that partial day in Canada is a day in Canada, so a PR in your...
