Rubbish reply. This thread is not about whether people (inside or outside Canada) are affected by the delays in citizenship applications. Nobody is arguing that permanent residents don't already enjoy the majority of the rights in Canada. We are not debating this issue. And how do you know there...

Where is your evidence? Even there were delays, are they as significant as what happens with IRCC?

Regardless, it was outrageous that IRCC returned his application. That question was specifically pertaining to "gaps". There were NO GAPS between his passports. Who are the people checking the completeness of citizenship applications? Are they just stupid?

So I did further some searching on this forum. While I didn't find any cases of returned applications for this reason, there was a post asking about question #14 and why the PDF kept telling him the second question needed to be answered...

Actually, the counter-example I had in mind would be a job that doesn't require top security clearance (that only citizens can pass), but still requires Canadian citizenship for job applicants. This is because the other poster was saying that the CSIS job is an exception. The RCMP job listing...

If a job doesn't require the level of security clearance that only Canadian citizens can pass, then those jobs shouldn't require Canadian citizenship to begin with. Can you think of a counter-example?
