Hey folks, so Canadian government is finally allowing us to apply for citizenship online.

Do you recon, now we can get AOR much faster and thus, citizenship application time could be reduced?

This is a much efficient way to deal with applications. In the short run though, I doubt it would have an immediate impact on the processing time since there’s such a huge backlog right now with paper applications. That being said, and assuming they would increase officers count in the mid-term, I can foresee processing time going down to 12-months or less 4-6 years down the road.

Seems like people are not that exited lol. I am, as a new PR, for me, it will improve the process to get citizenship
