Yes, the strike is still on :( It says that it is affecting the following countries embassies: Abu Dhabi, Ankara, Beijing, Cairo, Delhi, Hong Kong, London, Manila, Mexico City, Moscow, Paris, Riyadh, Sao Paolo and Shanghai.

It shouldn't be a problem, if it was provincial nominee I could see it being a problem but you're a sponsor. You could even talk to the consulate if you are worried but I don't think you should be :) Enjoy!!!!

The good thing is there have been a few PPR recently so even if they are striking maybe they have some people who are still working *crossing fingers*. My status is still "Application Received" but hopefully it will turn to "In Progress" soon. Lets not lose hope and faith!!!!! Ramadan Kareem...

You're quite right! I know quite a few of my husband's friends got their visas in 2 months!! I also know a person who this year got his PR in 3 months.
