Hi Farnazzz!

Congrats for your sponsorship! And to answer your question, you can look thru the Ankara spreadsheet if of course it is your VO (visa Office), it will give you a pretty good idea, and you can have a look too on spreadsheet of when your application was sent...Mine was done in April so I am in the april spreadsheet and in the Ankara one too since it is my VO ...Good luck to you!!

my original application date may 2012- the fee was requested june 12 2013 it says in process i called to make sure they got it, does anyone know how long after you make the fee payment it takes to get ppr? or its anyones guess at this point? i havent seen my husband in so long!

Of course every situation is different but here is our timeline:

Application received Dec 20
Sponsorship approved Jan 17
In process Feb 15
Landing fee request June 7
PPR request July 10

If you look at the spreadsheet it seems like things are moving VERY quickly in the last 12 months at the Ankara office. Our whole took 7 months and my wife was in Ankara on Monday/ Tuesday and received her visa. She will come to Vancouver soon!!!

We sent CIC aproximately 11.5 kilograms of application papers, phone bills, emails, chats, photographs etc to prove our relationship. I'm a Canadian born citizen of Dutch decent and my family has been in North America for many many generations. My wife is Iranian and we were introduced by Internet through her sister who is my landlord here. We communicated mostly via phone and Internet but I travelled to Turkey last year to meet her and we were married there. I then travelled to Iran to meet her awesome family for a week. We met again in Istanbul this spring for 3 weeks and fell in love all over again. I'm telling you our story so that you understand.... ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE IF YOU BELIEVE, TRUST AND RESPECT ... Oh .... And you need some patience too ... Hehehe.

I have got the visa today but there is one issue which make us nervous :$ when I have sent the application my spouse was in Calgary and now we are together and want to go directly to Toronto and live there but in the CPR letter (Confirmation of permanent residence) mentioned city of destination Calgary which we are not going there at all so do you think in the airport in Toronto do I have got any problems?

Congratulations on PR!!!!! That is awesome! I am in Calgary too!

Maybe you should wait until your spouse gets the PR card? I believe the timeline to get one is currenly 30 days.

That is amazing news! Congrats!!!

When you went to the visa office, was it busy? Did it seem like there was a strike happening or were a lot of people still working?
