Toward Understanding Bill C-6 to Amend Citizenship Act; new 3/5 rule plus

I appreciate your sentiment of fairness, but the Liberals continue to strip 60 people of citizenship a month, many of whom presumably for doing the exact same thing that Monsef did. Justice should be equal and the law should apply in the same manner for all Canadians. After all, isn't this...

Toward Understanding Bill C-6 to Amend Citizenship Act; new 3/5 rule plus

So, according to you, it's not Monsef's fault becuase she didn't sign the forms as she was a minor? What about this case where a man who arrived to Canada at the age of 9 months was stripped because his father failed to disclose a criminal conviction? Where was Trudeau's (and your) sympathy in...

Toward Understanding Bill C-6 to Amend Citizenship Act; new 3/5 rule plus

She lied about her place of birth. Others that have done the same have been stripped of their citizenship by the Trudeau government, but apparently JT has different rules for his supporters. So much for his tired "A Canadian is a Canadian" propaganda...

Toward Understanding Bill C-6 to Amend Citizenship Act; new 3/5 rule plus

By that logic, we are all of African descent, since the remains of the earliest humans were found there. But how many times have you said that to refer to your origins? Being from that part of the world, I can assure you that nationalism runs high and no one says they are of Persian descent...

Toward Understanding Bill C-6 to Amend Citizenship Act; new 3/5 rule plus

I don't think that she just learned that she was born in Iran. She had mentioned being of Persian descent it in earlier appearances. This is just a pure political cover-up and it exposes the true hypocrisy of Trudeau's government that they are treating her differently than all other immigrants.

There is no amendment to increase the processing time. This is all speculation, conjecture and misinformation. Ignore it all. No one knows whether processing times will increase or not.

BREAKING NEWS Bill C-6 finally passed in HoC, Now reading in Senate

I guess your mind-reading skills are better than mine becuase I wasn't able to deduce any of that from a single innocent tweet.

BREAKING NEWS Bill C-6 finally passed in HoC, Now reading in Senate

Relax...no one knows what will happen to processing times, and anyone who claims to today is only speculating.

BREAKING NEWS Bill C-6 finally passed in HoC, Now reading in Senate

OK, so according to you, Senators should act and vote according to their own personal beliefs. But then, a day before you posted this, someone wrote: "Senate shouldn't make decisions against the House of Commons ones." Again, it seems like the poor Senators just can't win!

BREAKING NEWS Bill C-6 finally passed in HoC, Now reading in Senate

So do you feel that it is equally irresponsible or illegitimate for citizens to contact their MP's? What exactly is the difference between a MP listening to their constituents and a Senator (who has no official constituents) asking for public input? Do you think democracy would be better...

BREAKING NEWS Bill C-6 finally passed in HoC, Now reading in Senate

Wow, the poor Senators can't win. if they make a decision on their own, they get blasted for being unelected officials that are violating democratic principles and opposing the opinions of the people. And if they ask the public for input, people like you are unhappy becuase you view that as...

BREAKING NEWS Bill C-6 finally passed in HoC, Now reading in Senate

Again, I fail to see what the issue is. The Senator tweeted: "Cdn Senate currently debating Bill C6 which will restore citizenship to convicted terrorists such as ringleader of Toronto 18. Good policy?" What exactly is unprofessional in that tweet? And, despite what you have conjectured in...

BREAKING NEWS Bill C-6 finally passed in HoC, Now reading in Senate

Not sure why you are speechless...the first tweet related to the restoration of citizenship to terrorists which many Canadians (if not the majority) are against. So I fail to see the controversy in the Senator's position.

I'm not sure what you are arguing for, or why you brought up the fact that you pay taxes. The rules are pretty straightforward and you seem to be willingly ignoring them. A simple Google search will bring up scores of articles and sites that clearly state (as this one does...

    Taxation on foreign property sold

You are confusing the primary residence capital gain exemption with your situation. You can not be exempt from capital gains taxes on foreign properties, only those in Canada that you reside in. Further, with the changes to this exemption last week, you can expect extra scrutiny from the CRA...

    regarding nonresident for tax purpose

    1) Yes, you are a non-resident 2) I'm not sure, but I believe so 3) It doesn't matter whether the funds were a gift or earnings. As you are a non-resident, the funds won't be taxed whenever you decide to return to Canada.

Residential ties to Canada for tax purposes

If you live and work in Canada, you are definitely a resident from the CRA's perspective. It doesn't really matter whether your condo lease is in your name or not.
