I'm not that optimistic. FHS backlog will reduce by summer, just in time to accommodate the 100s of thousands of Lambton equivalents graduating in May. New TR2PR for these morons, otherwise they'll cry about taxes (even though they don't pay any/much because they're students working part time at best or using daddy's money more likely). Backlog to 2023, rinse and repeat. New TR2PR every summer. GG EZ no need for draws ever again.
I am 100% certain there will be no TR2PR this year, provided there are no extenuating circumstances like border closures.

In fact, I doubt TR2PR will come back (it doesn't seem like it based on the Level Plan). Accommodation in the plan is to clear the current backlog of TR2PR as a result of IRCC's incompetence letting more people that anticipated submit TR2PR applications .

I think PNP mostly, and LMIA as you said. Also PGWP helps a lot. If employers are happy with employees on PGWP, they can upgrade them to LMIA near the end of their LMIA.

This is kinda going in the US way.
They might even go as far as granting automatic PR to every CEC who has completed 1 year of work experience in their field of study. On the 1st anniversary of your work, send in all your paystubs, and bang - you get mailed a PR card :). No need for pools, draws, application etc, as long as you are CEC and have met all PR requirements.

LMIA and EE will be for outlanders only.

Damn, that sounds like quite the burden! Much luck to them though, I'm sure there's still plenty of good jobs in Canada that may meet those expectations.
Snow ain't that bad, shoveling a bit isn't past me even when I know I'll be complaining about it 95% of the time I'm doing it.
Canada seems pretty welcoming, at least when I visited I felt pretty at ease. I don't personally seek the highest salary possible, since It's often in conflict with other goals or perks; I do get the appeal, however. Past a certain point, I'd much rather take sensible work-life balance, more time with the family (and the national parks to go with it) and overall a bit more security or less tension? Can't argue about the housing crisis though, that will have to be addressed sooner rather than later.
I agree with you completely. This is the stage of life I am in now as well. I appreciate the fact that people here are at different stages in life and therefore have different goals and expectations of Canada. It doesn't make their ambitions right or wrong. It's just what it is. To each their own :).

PS: Don't feed the trolls on this thread. They add nothing of value to the discourse :).

Indeed:( I watched Kubeir's video and I can only hope he is right and those TR2PR what we can see in the immigration plan is only the backlog from 2021. I also hope that all FHS backlog will be cleared and those people will land in 2022 as the current upper level of FHS immigration number for 2022 is 65K, about the same as the actual FHS backlog.
Rest is speculation but I hope to see bi-weekly draws from June. (damn that optimism)
It is true that there are many backlogs in Tr 2 PR too. But the latest notice says that Tr2Pr should expect to be landed as far as the end of 2023. So believe we may see small TR2 PR draws because I don't think 2021 applications will be processed until 2023. The ones that will land in 2023 will be the ones that will get ITA in 2022. So Tr2Pr draw is coming up.

I don't intend to move to the US LOL
Also, TN is non-immigrant so you wouldn't use a TN to get a GC anyway LOL
The best pathway from Canadian citizenship to GC is through an L1 visa. Anything else is a waste of time.

Just deleted my EE account because I wasn't getting any GUs. I think I did the right thing.
I'm so pissed with IRCC right now. I got remedical requests for the whole family, even though we are all M1 profiles and in Canada. I spoke to an IRCC agent now and he can see the note saying remeds required because some of my dependants have changes in category (I have a daughter who has crossed over to 'adulthood' in the last year, and a son who is no longer a baby/toddler). I guess there are different tests and checks required for them than was done during the our medicals in 2021.

Oh well, now to go shell out another $2,000 :rolleyes:.

Like I said, even the Canadians are moving south for triple the pay. Why would you stay in a place where it snows five months of the year, the housing prices are out of whack.

Consider you work in IT - For a job that provides 200k in US, you will be paid 80-90k or less in Canada.

Also, the housing is much cheaper. You get twice the space in a decently populated city where as anything near city is a million dollar plus in Canada.
Not only IT, but most jobs pay double or triple the pay in Canada. I believe the future would be wfh era as companies continue to realize that employees are very productive WFH. It will be an ideal life for people (like me) who wanna enjoy the countryside while drawing 300K to 400k. I mean it's easily doable in the US.

Reddit is full of Canadian citizens in IT moving to US for the dough. They quote salaries being double and triple with cheaper housing for the reason.

Makes no sense to me but ok.
What makes no sense?

As you know US is a totally different ball game 3+ years for a gc can't be compared with 3+ years for Canada pr.
In us houses are affordable
You can get a job very easy.
Traveling options
Powerful passport
Ease of starting a business
Availability of credit.
Weather

Only downside is health care,
Guns other than that US is just a paradise.
Money can buy any kind of healthcare in the US.

Damn it dude. I think it's still not too bad though since you're close to the end and won't have any visa issues whatsoever unlike the PGWP fellas. Hope you get PPR soon.

That being said, I think I still have the chance to beat your sorry ass in the PPR race if my file is at Sydney.

Yeah, trying to focus on the positive. We have no worrying health issues, so it's just a matter of time.

I think it's very likely you'll get your PPR before me now that I have to re-do my medicals. Just be kind when it happens :D.

Your medical is still valid so you are ahead of me in the queue now. I'm sure your file is in CIO, same as mine. Most 2021 PNPs are being processed there.
