I have been waiting for my new PR card since June 24, 2021. I contacted my local MP and they were able to get at least an update that my photo was approved but in the portal, it still says in review. They also said that my file has been moved from Ottawa to Sydney (don't know if it's a good sign) but this is so frustrating it's just a plastic card that I am waiting for. It is so ridiculous.
Hey, I'm similar timeline, my PR renewal was delivered June 28th. AOR Oct 15th and DM that day. I have contacted my MP, but could still just get a generic response. I haven't seen too many people left in our timeframe, let me know if you get any updates!

I have applied for my pr card renewal.
Paper Application sent to Sydney- 15 July 2021
Acknoledgment received - 20th sep 2021
Decision made Started processing Application - 10th Oct 2021

Latest update received the application is transferred to local officer and they will contact .
Kindly advice what is the next step and how long do I have to wait.
Hi I am similar timelines to you, i am PR renewal, arrived June 28th , AOR & DM Oct 15th and nothing since. I have checked with my MP and they said there are no notes on the file, so don't think there is any issue with photos etc. So frustrating!

probably they want to interview you .
your ECAS is Decision Made since 10th October so most probably an interview before pick up
What are you basing that on? I am same timeline for PR renewal and no one has mentioned an interview every time i speak to a MP/ Call IRCC

@Rayu Mandvi was responding to a situation where there was a Decision Made and the card transferred to a local office. At minimum that typically involves a counter-interview, which typically is to verify certain information (individual's identity and presence in Canada primarily) but may also including screening for PR Residency Obligation compliance as of the date of the card pick-up.

It appears you may be on a similar path but not sure unless and until you know the file/PRC has been referred/transferred to a local office for pick-up.

Local office card pick-up was suspended or otherwise has been subject to extremely long delays.

Note: The impact of Covid has totally skewered even routine timelines let alone applications involving non-routine processing. Nonetheless, since processing the routine PR card renewal application is generally complete within a day to a couple or so weeks of the day the application is opened (as indicated by AOR), for any PR card application that does not result in a Decision Made within . . . well a month or there about of the AOR date . . . it is most likely involved in non-routine processing of some sort, meaning it is rather likely there will be a lengthy delay in getting the PRC.

Hi,

I received my PR card two weeks ago, but my wife's card has not been issued yet. We both virtually landed on July 21st last year.
Is it normal to get PR cards separately?
Has anyone had the same experience?

Thanks

Hello,
If we are scheduled for pick up and are on decision made from august 2021, how long do you think we still have to wait to get an interview??
Do you know if the local offices like montreal local office is open to in person interviews?

My timeline
COPR received August 13th FSW inland
Photos mailed Ottawa office August 18th.
Unable to link application under mycic using every method.

Tried linking Sep
Mailed MP no updates Oct
Father passed away October
Used that to again contact MP
Tried linking November, no MP updates
Tried linking December, MP office says under processing.
Booked India tickets cancelled, prtd unreliable and taking between 2 and 4 months.
Finally linked child's and spouses applications on Jan 26.

My CIC status submitted 26th Jan
Mycic status approved and mailed 31st Jan.

I'm expecting the card within the week.

Just wanted to provide my PR card timelines.
( My immigration story turned out so painful and long drawn that I don't know if I'd ever be able to post about all of it....but atleast it's over)

Also even though I have waited over 5 months for the PR card, the online application implies as if it was processed in 5 days...what a messy and stupid system.

Ours sent August 1 and is still “in process”. But others that were sent October have already received their new card in the mail. Luck of the draw it seems. Good luck! I may begin the renstal process as soon as this card arrives! Lol

So your status never changed to DM? It went from processing to they mailed it out? Very interesting

Yes. My wife application was DM the same day they started processing. Mine took a month for DM. Don't know how it works. Weird.
Yes, it is weird. Two kids and my applications were DMs one day after AORs. My wife case is still in process after AOR. Interesting...
