@legalfalcon hi

Today it is officially the start of my 28th month after AOR. My file got approved initially on April 2020 & my recent remedical was passed 56 days back. SGVO has replied to my mail that they will get back to me with the passport submission requirements within 90 days of medical pass.

Considering this situation, would you advice me to wait till the 90 days time frame and then go for Mandamus or rather I shall go with the Mandamus right now? & would waiting 90 days and then go with the Mandamus make my file stronger as they already told me about this 90 days ?

Lastly, If I want to go with Mandamus, should I apply for my GCMS now or do I need GCMS for me to go with Mandamus?

Thanks for your suggestion @legalfalcon

@legalfalcon FSW inland 2020 here. My medicals expired in Feb 2021 and it was extended till Feb 2022 (1st extension). Now my application is all stages complete waiting for ECOPR. Does IRCC extend the medical a second time to issue ECOPR assuming I receive portal email before expiry or would they ask for a remed? Have you seen anyone receive medical extensions twice? Thanks

According to https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/notices/temporary-public-policy-exempting-some-foreign-nationals-canada-requiring-immigration-medical-exam.html, I seem to be eligible for this. Will the officer consider this and auto extend the medical?
Thoughts on this @legalfalcon, thanks a lot.

@legalfalcon I am inland CEC applicant. After my eligibility passed, I got a request for RCMP PCC. I did it at the local fingerprint shop and got the RCMP PCC in mail. I scanned it and uploaded it. It has been 15 days but my criminality has not passed. I had submitted PCC from India in the beginning and then they asked for PCC from RCMP.

1. From your past post it seems RCMP PCC causes application to stay "Criminality : In Progress" for longer time. Does it delays even after submitting the certificate? I only got the certificate after IRCC asked me.

2. My VO is Edmonton now. Will it delay my application a lot? Some people are saying it can delay by upto an year as Edmonton does not process applications for many many months.

@legalfalcon Hello, my AOR is October of 2021 FSW-O; in light of the recent memo, is it reasonable to assume that I will not get PPR this year? I know that no one can say for certain, but your interpretation of this new information in much appreciated. the memo purportedly mentions focusing on TR to PR, but that has been halted since 5th of November too. And the ministers instructions on clearing the backlog contradicts this memo?

The recent memo only pertains to the targets and nowhere states that PPRs will not be given. An average application takes 6-12 months.

1. It can take a few weeks after you submit the documents for it to be updated and acted upon.

2. VO does not matter. IRCC can send you application to any VO across its network. Instead, focus on what stage your application is at and if eligibility is passed, you need not worry.

Hi @legalfalcon sir,

We truly hope that you and yours are doing very well during this unprecedented time, we would like to extend that to everyone else in here as well we hope each and everyone of you are well.

Timeline -

My( wife) AOR- 30 October 2019 ( my wife primary applicant)
PPR-18 Jan 2020 ( Primary applicant and single)( we did not sent passport for further process and informed ircc about marriage plan)
Marriage- 10th Feb 2020
Spouse added- 15 March 2020
Husband( Myself)- Biometrics added 2nd march 2021 and medical- 14 March 2021
After that yesterday ( 10th Jan 2022)- background status changed to- Not Applicable.

Primary office- New Delhi
Secondary office- CPC- Ottawa

1- Is background status changed to " Not applicable " any major sign of good news for both of us?
2- You don't need a medical.We will send u a message if this changes. ( My wife medical done only once before AOR ( 12 October 2019 only).
3- As per GCMS 9 1 sep 2021- wife ( primary applicant)- medical status- (passed-expired). What does it mean? medical of my wife ( primary applicant will be extended, or remedial will be required?

Kindly guide us- At what stage our application is ? It has been almost 2.5 years and we are still at no men's land.

Regards,
@legalfalcon sir,
Kindly guide us about any action which is required from our side.
Regards,

@legalfalcon If one is from a visa exempt country and has already been issued a CoPR, do they have to land when they visit Canada? Or can they still visit Canada visa free and then decide to land sometime later? Thanks
