    Best of luck, usually if the application is accepted in person then its validated right away and you should receive the passport. I dont know the exact stats but none of my 3 friends who have received passports had their guarantors called.

    AFAIK IRS login is not available for people with foreign address. In my experience, transcript by mail is pretty quick, they take ~3 weeks to send it.

    From my exp, they don't accept tax returns. Anyone can put anything on the returns that you submit. Thats why they need original IRS/State transcripts as proof of foreign taxes paid.

    Wait did you not pay any tax to Canada? You do need to pay the difference in tax rates b/w US and Canada to Canada since you would be a resident here. Yes RRSP would save you some taxes, TFSA is after tax contribution. For ex, you paid 30k taxes to USA and your Canadian liability is 40K, then...

    Yeah same here, submitted online app in Sep but nothing. Almost all paper ones got their AORs by now. Is there a way to ask IRCC about it? Seems like they have just forgotten the online inland apps.
