FSW WORLDWIDE

But provinces actually do that. Cherry pick from candidates and they choose which NOCs they need. How on earth would Manitoba or SK benefit from this? Or the Atlantic region?
Agree. It's very dumb to put "Software engineer" as In-demand NOC and expect them to move to NB or Saskatchewan; coders will move to Big-3 (Vancouver (Amazon), Toronto (Uber, FB, Google), Montreal (AI center)).

I am listening to Kubeir Kamal’s live stream now. I just tuned into to see what Steve Meurens (Lawyer who gets most of the internal docs from IRCC) had to say. He says don’t rule out on cancelling of existing FSW applications by IRCC due to processing delays. He says IRCC will have to conduct PR draws because many inland candidates will go out of status soon. He also said IRCC has enough applicants to meet 2022 target but not sure if they will not conduct draws. I donno what to comment about this but just wanted to share here.

(Gosh Kubeir is gonna have record views today)
Ugh why did Steven go on this guy's show? UGH!
(i mean, i get it, but UGHHH!)
Also the first 2 mins of this video make me want to fling myself into the sea.

I dont think they will cancel any applications. My Logic "If they are processing old applications(jan-feb 2020) ,why would they not process new applications?"

So, Meurrens mentioned that back in 2012-2013 there was a note issued that says "If your eligibility (or positive decision, I can't remember what he said) is passed by a certain date, then you're fine. Otherwise, return application and refund fees".

Someone over here has made a good point (Kubeir said the same); there are 55K application in FSW which is not a huge load.
The situ was different then. First, they accepted more applications than they should have, based on a discrepancy in the interpretation of the process at the various Visa Offices. This led to a HUGE backlog. Secondly, they cancelled applications received prior to October 2008 and weren't processed yet (4 years old applications).

If they are issuing PPRs for 2018, 2019, 2020 right now, I don't think cancellation is currently on their minds.

So, Meurrens says that they would do it because the longer it goes, the less relevant those applications become. People lost job offers (-XX number of points), etc. So, in order to satisfy the current market, applications might be cancelled and replaced with "fresh" batch.

What I can imagine though is that they simply exclude certain NOCs from FSW. Change it if they need them. Also provinces can invite them if they need them. Now THAT I can imagine.

Lmao. You know him? I have never heard about this lawyer. He made some good points but I remember how people on this forum were bashing Mark Holthe for his "Canada owes you nothing" comment. Those people should watch this video, and what Meurrens says about CEC vs. FSW lmao.

Those 75 score CEC grandpa's must be really what the job market needs.

He also says that he started to file more and more mandamus applications which essentially forces IRCC to look at applications and make a decision on them. That affects processing as well.

Does this mandamus thing work?Or will they fuck things up asking for stupid documents.does it have a time line to file someone said 2 years is the min time for your application to file for that mandamus.after filing for mandamus after how many days will you get the results.
How much is the cost of filing it?

He says that it works. However, your application needs to exceed 2-3 times of normal processing times. He says that because IRCC didn't remove that "6 months" processing timeline from the website, he used it as an argument to file mandamus.

He also says that Federal court has stated that COVID is not a reason for slow processing.

Wait a min In the link posted above .It is mentioned clearly how covid processing delay is classified.
For eg if you filed your application on 2018 jan and you didn't get any reply then you can file it because covid is not a satisfactory explanation for your delay.

But for aors after Aug 2020 (including me) this won't work because, the delay can be explained under covid circumstances

Could be as well. Or give some extra points if one applies under a certain NOC code.
