That’s the best thing I have read in 2021.Atleast now we know that why local visa offices such as London,Paris,NDVO were not issuing pprs.I asked this question so many times but the answer was like that they don’t have capacity to issue pprs which was incorrect because they did not issue even a single ppr. The reason was that they were instructed to work on CEC applications.
I strongly believe that till mid 2022 everyone will receive ppr.

Hahahaa they have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to get decent candidates in CEC. They're actually trying to choose between CLB7 and 1 yr of tech work exp, when there are tens of thousands of CLB10s with 3 years work exp in the pool. I have to say it, CECs really are pathetic lmfao

I do doubt the legitimacy of the memo though. Seems too in line with the general consensus on this forum, and that can never be a good thing.
It is not false. The memo was from Operations department headed by the assistant minister, Operations-Daniel Mills to the most senior civil servants in IRCC-the deputy ministers Caroline Xavier and Catrina Tapley. The ministers were presented with 2 options and they likely followed the recommended one as at then. Since May,we had already seen evidence that only about 40-45K TR to PR would be treated this year. The rest were made eligible to apply for BOWP-an option that wasn't given to them ab initio. Sincerely, I see no reason to doubt that memo as the operations sector is the brain box of IRCC….#copied

Just pray that the borders stay open. That seems to be the major condition for a shift of priority to FSW in early 2022

Some folk just got his remed passed. VO-Accra
Better than nothing. I wonder if people who report progression in their files on weekends/holidays report the actual date of the progression. I always thought maybe the guy gets MEP on a Friday but reports it on Saturday without paying attention to the date.

WE DID AN ATIP TO KNOW ABOUT CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS ROUND SIZE FOR 2021 AND WHEN WILL THE FSW DRAW RESUME.

In today's public release by the govt, IRCC stated that it met its target. Maintaining Express Entry rounds at 6000 applicants until the end of July acilitated meeting the 401k admissions target.

The Operations Sector implemented a revised plan designed to achieve 2021 admissions targets with a greater focus on applicants residing in Canada (short landing lags), and programs with high rates of approval.

The CEC category represents the biggest source for 2021 admissions. The large round from February 13, 2021, helped to support the higher final decision targets in this category.

In order to meet the revised CEC target of 141,000 final decisions in 2021, an additional 25,000 person intake is needed by end of July. Applicants invited after July 2021 have a smaller likelihood of being admitted in 2021 with a 4 to 8-month window from invitation to admission. This clearly tells why the CEC draws stopped.

IRCC also said that In early 2022, if borders are open or the Order-in-Council travel restrictions are amended, the focus of final decisions could shift back to Federal Skilled Workers (FSWs). Due to travel restrictions, there is currently an inventory of over 58,000 FSW applicants who are unable to enter Canada to be admitted at this time. Only 2,000 more FSW final decisions are planned for the rest of the year
I am a bit sad that the future of FSW program wasn't mentioned, as being pre-ITA I was hoping to see some info. But happy for those whose files will be processed in 2022 after such a long wait. :)

If you look at the job postings for IRCC. They require you to work weekends and holidays. It’s probably just administrative assistant linking info that was already done, in files. I doubt officer and analysts are working.

Look what they've done to us lol. We look at IRCC job postings, closely follow politics, hunt internal memos, ask around if there are any new PPRs on reddit or whatsapp groups... Back then (2015-2019) your typical FSW would collect documents, apply, and just forget EE even existed for 7-8 months. One day you would see an email from IRCC telling you to send your passport and that would be it.
