I am applying for Canada visitor visa for my parents using the new IRCC portal,
Do i need to write a letter showing their ties with India as well ????,
as there are not many documents that need to be uploaded at the end, can somebody share the format for the letter as well

How do you know which visa office is handling your case? I applied for my wife's visa via portal and regular site. intial application Jan 2021, no response. Applied from United States. any help will be appreciated

Waiting as well! I resubmitted my sister’s app on the portal on October 12th (app on GCKey was submitted on July 14th and still not withdrawn or refunded yet).

How old are your children since you are principal applicant? Are they students? As for their travel history, you say they travelled so assume it is to the US, NZ, AUS or UK. This is considered travel history.

Hello,

I submitted my parent's visit visa application last September 7, 2021. I used the new IRCC Portal. If anyone is on the same boat, let's share insights and updates.

September 7 - Application Submitted
September 10 - Biometrics done

No request for medical as of the moment. Intended to stay for less than 6 months, but hoping to travel this november 2021.
