If FSW draws aint ever going to hold, they should eject all of us (in the FSW category) from the pool and stop accepting profile creation.
I told u guys. That's whatsup with the downvote movement. Personally I think consultants have interests in this because once outland route is blocked, more people would choose study route and they make money from it.

There's even no point getting into the pool just to be noticed by some province. Most provinces don't even disclose their NOIs. You could be drowned in the pool before you get any nominations.

If they just continue doing CEC/PNP without "officially" abandoning the FSW stream, they are acting out of the selfish self-interest of Canada. We don't even need to cooperate with them.

Look there's even no need to go to Canada if not for the FSW stream. If you have to study or work to get a PR, then:

Chinese/Indian -> go straight to UK or EU
Non Chinese / Indian -> go straight to the US

Don't even waste time and money on the worthless country if it turns out to be this way. Let them open TR PR each year, and take 90K jobless international students.

All the politicians and lobbyists who bet their dime on this will be quite surprised in the coming years.

The problem is Canadian education standard is not that good to attract highly skilled talents. They can block outlanders. But, they will also have millions of namesake degree holders who have PGDM in Project Management from unranked college, an MBA from an Unkown School, and not sure how many will apt from STEM graduate programs. You can count the number of good schools in Canada in 1 minute. To be honest, there are many colleges that are created just for the sake of giving away degrees. So Canada wouldn't be getting talents if they are NOT welcoming outsiders.

Maybe they just give up and decide that they don't need STEM talents.

Or did you check out the skilled refugee programs proposed by Liberal? LOLL

Hey guys! quite new to the forum, but like others following it for weeks. Do you guys really think IRCC will not ever resume fsw draws? Even by 2022? I was shocked by the conversation, to be honest. Is this your expectation?

I do not think business development officers, sales specialists, marketing professionals from the FSW pool are highly skilled professionals. I wish the IRCC introduce the NOC-based system that will stop these professionals from coming to Canada. They are actually killing the chances of really skilled professionals (IT, Scientists) want to immigrate.

Mendicino has already talked about it. People with Canadian degrees that have left will get some kind of pathway. Could be as simple as extending the international student provincial pathways (like the one in Ontario for instance) to people outside Canada once they figure out the pandemic situation. Extra points are pretty meaningless. CRS does not matter.
Sir,could you please provide the source for this information? I have a Canadian degree but have been hopelessly waiting for FSW draw for a long time. Just checked Mendicino’s Tweets since August but no luck. Really appreciate your help!

They are actually killing the chances of real skilled professionals (IT, Scientists, Management (Big4)) who want to immigrate here. I see green light at the end of tunnel for NOC based FSW in the latest budget, I hope this start next year.

There's a lot of debate to be had about the current EE programs. It's not perfect and can be greatly improved upon. Personally feel a more sustainable approach is a program that mirrors the current PNP program where demand for jobs in particular industry dictate which NOC gets invited to apply. While it is easy to assume that the current system self-adjusts for age, experience and educational qualifications alot of those higher credentials could also be got from run-of-the-mill colleges abroad too, which does nothing for attracting the best of the best talent in relevant industries to the country.

Edit: Using myself as an example, I became PR later than I would if I had stayed in my country cause I accepted a fully funded graduate degree in Canada. Now, if I had stayed in my country I'd have become a PR 2 years earlier, but with a work experience that would not have translated to the Canadian workforce, whereas coming to study (albeit with the tradeoff of a longer time to PR) I was able to develop those skills relevant to my industry while also getting the advance degree. So work experience from abroad while impressive doesn't always translate to the ability to do that same job in Canada.

Good pal. 4163 is what you saw from my profile. I do have an Engineering degree along with 4 years of Software Engineering from one of those Indian IT sweatshops. Got my MBA from the US and my work fits into NOC 4163. Now have an offer for a Product Manager role for a SaaS company which I will have to start by Feb 1st with a PR, Unfortunately, I will have it give it up as the company doesn't wanna go thru the LMIA process. Kinda sad but confident that I can land another role after getting my PR. You can call me whatever but I have an Engineering degree, bruh.:cool:

Well bro, I am seriously fed up with all those imaginary analyses of IRCC behavior, draws and blah blah. But the latest behavior of draws seems quite positive for us FSW applicants, as firstly, they have stopped the CEC/PNP pattern and secondly, the CRS score of CEC draw has raised significantly.

Again, none of these could have any hidden meaning, I do not know since when you are following the Express Entry related news, but I absolutely recommend you stay away from all those predictions, expectations, analysis, good sign/bad sign blah blah. Any date you hear from here and there is totally imaginary, and not based on any official information from Canadian immigration authorities. Let it be October, December, 2022, Spring 2022, ... All these dates are pure predictions out of nowhere. Just chill and wait. No other solution for the moment.

Canadá landed a bit less than 38k new immigrants on August. It now needs around 45k in the following 4 months. Which is way higher than their record in July of almost 40k.
I’m feeling they won’t make it this year.

It feels like they hit a wall in processing capacity with only inland VO. Unless more outland VO resumes, I doubt they will make it. If they did their record capacity Sept-Dec that would mean being down more than 20k which is close to half the backlog.
