A random question. I've just received a new passport valid for 10 years from now. The passport I submitted for my PR application back in 2019 is set to expire in October 2022.

Should I update IRCC and send them the scan of my new passport so that the expiration date of the current one doesn't delay my case processing even further? And, on a more optimistic side, can it potentially draw their attention to my case, since they'll have to open my profile? Maybe it will speed up the "final decision"? All stages passed since Nov 2020. FSW-O, US.
Yes, go ahead. It would surely decrease delay.

But how can you have a new passport when the last one still have one-year validity?

I regret to inform you that it was due to system updates. A lot of people receive ghost updates for nothing.

How can they know that it was for nothing ? Did the GUs happened today or throughout the past several days ?

But to be honest, you are most likely true. With those 2 years of waiting, one can become like a paranoid fearing every mirage of "good signs"...

Yes, a lot of GUs have happened in the past 2 days and there were no real updates. IRCC system was under maintenance, that is all.

Somebody with AOR Dec 2019 got their gcms notes n their file hasn’t been touched since Oct 2020.. ircc has become a joke

Same here. AOR sept 2019, file touched for the first (and last) time in oct 2020. Got GCMS 2 months ago, still in Review Required. So yeah... I don't know what to say...

Sir,could you please provide the source for this information? I have a Canadian degree but have been hopelessly waiting for FSW draw for a long time. Just checked Mendicino’s Tweets since August but no luck. Really appreciate your help!
Unfortunately, I don't have any sources. I remember reading about it on a canadian news website before the elections when they were talking about their immigration plans. Didn't save any sources/ links because it doesn't concern me.

I do not think business development officers, sales specialists, marketing professionals from the FSW pool are highly skilled professionals. I wish the IRCC introduce the NOC-based system that will stop these professionals from coming to Canada. They are actually killing the chances of really skilled professionals (IT, Scientists) want to immigrate.
Really? And what makes you think there is no skill required in doing those jobs. Stop talking out of your ass bro!

Well if these NOCs were so disposable, then most provinces wouldn't be nominating them so often would they?? You're a very bitter person

Shit... I didn't see this coming. Sorry guys. :(

Been 21 months post AOR. Applied for another set of GCMS notes yesterday. Hoping that there has been some further update.

Who could’ve thought we would find ourselves in this situation. I thought the most I’d have to wait was 12 months if therw was any complications with my application. I’m now mentally preparing myself to survive 2022 without PPR
