January 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

I got a 'ghost' update on August 12th (shows that date at the top right of the tracker) but no actual changes since.

I'm not in the slightest bit worried, but wanted to post this as counterpoint to the "ghost update is followed by real update within a few days" narrative that's predominant. I'm sure that's true for some if not most, but apparently not all... so unless I come back later to say that it was followed by a rejection of my application eek no-one should be concerned if their ghost update isn't immediately followed by real change.

Knowing my luck, it's just that the agent assigned my file has gone camping!

Hy , I just got an update today, that means they just start to process my application?

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on January 25, 2021.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on March 30, 2021.
3. We started processing your application on August 25, 2021.

Yes, please log in to your tracker ( new ytracker) and check for the All fields status, you may get back check completed in a Week or so. Most of them after the update within a week got the BC completed. Please log in to the new tracker. you can find it in my Signature if you don't have the link. Thank you

I’ve just received the test invitation email, attached to this email is also a request letter asking for the scanned pictures of all the passports held during my eligibility. The email came from Winnipeg, although I submitted my application from Calgary

Any idea how long does the process take currently after passing the test.

My timelines are as follows:
Location: Toronto, ON
Type: Family
Application type - Paper
Application delivered - Jan 7th 2021
AOR - Mar 2021
Background Verification = Competed May 17
Test Updated in System Jul 29
Test Email - Aug 4
Test scheduled - Aug 6 - 26
Test Completed - Aug 24
Test Updated in system Aug 25

Any idea how long does the process take currently after passing the test.

Your guess is as good as anyone's... Based on the experiences of others, it can be as less than a month and as high as 8+ months..

Good news! I have just been invited/scheduled to take the citizenship test between August 31 and September 21 - no interview nor passport pages asked, just straight to test invitation

I got the passport page request 1 month and 20 days after passing the test.. so it can come at anytime

It actually came today with the formal invitation to take the test, initial was just an update in the tracker.
