Finally some good news about my file!!!

I have been going back and forth with the citizenship officer all day today (10 emails) as to why I submitted my request for urgent processing.

So 15 minutes before, she said that she is approving my urgent processing request and sent me an invite for an interview, and requested copies of all pages of my passport.

@rajkamalmohanram Can you please update this in my file ?

Also, my urgent processing request was approved by Citizenship Officer from CPC Sydney office and not Windsor office.

The thing i dont get is that why would they ask on why you submitted for urgent processing. They ask as if they dont want to process your application urgently. At this stage, Urgent processing just waives us off 2-3 months for which they are doing this much drama as if they we asked to process is urgently within a month of AOR.

I wonder why sydney picked your urgent request when they forwarded the request to windsor on 11th. So thinking that nowadays the urgent requests (may be some) are being handled by cic. May be cic is now handling some cases centrally? hmm.. will see how it goes. Or windsor office is on leave/vacation and central team responded to your urgent request.

I am surprised to see sydney office responded till approval and scheduling interview and passport page requests.

Its not windsor who responded and arranged the interview(and passport page request). Its the central team - Sydney office.

By looking at handling of urgent request of Rafzy, i am now confused if windsor is again on hibernate mode like last time.
I hope its not the case and we get some updates tomorrow(as i see that they work on mondays).

Could anyone tell me how long it takes for the file to reach Windsor as I spoke to agent this morning and she told me my file is in transit but as per old ECAS

July 20th, 2021 - AOR
August 3rd, 2021 - In process

New tracking system had two updates on August 4th and one on August 6th but nothing changed

I have requested for UP I called in to check if my request was approved or rejected but agent told me that she can see the correspondence on file but there are no other notes

It can take 1-4 weeks to reach. My file reached after a month and many people's file reached within a week.
Not sure how fast they can move it before background check is complete. So watch for background check completion.

With the way they work(like a seasonal labor), i am now more afraid that we may get updates only in Sep or oct since they were issuing test invites till mid Jul after the initial winter-spring break hence they will take 2-3 months gap before they return to work(on the files again).
I am going to expect the worse - Getting updates only in Nov when they return to work after vaccination.

Got communication from the Sydney office yesterday morning that the local Windsor office case officer is going to reach out to me for my interview.

The thing that concerned and astonished me was that when the local Windsor officer reached out to me yesterday, she mentioned that she is making arrangements to get my file from the Windsor office which clearly points that those of us who submitted paper applications are the ones that are going to suffer longer wait periods as our applications are sitting in local office gathering dust while IRCC people are at home doing GOD KNOWS WHAT !!!

@rajkamalmohanram This at least clears one point that when the file is in the registry, it definitely is not assigned to any agent and is sitting in the local office pool of files.

This was because I did not provide enough evidence with my UP request except just my offer letter. So when the Sydney officer reached out to me, I shared complete details along with emails for all steps from my prospective employer from day 1 (when I applied for the role) till the time I got the offer letter.

She cross-questioned me about my qualifications (experience & education) through back n forth emails (almost 10) to the point when she got satisfied.

I also called the IRCC agent to confirm if my UP request was approved in GCMS notes and he confirmed that it indeed was approved.

This is ridiculous. I dont what else they want more than the offer letter itself.
You didnt ask to print the passport 4 years ago without being eligible for it. All they now need to do is arrange oath as you have cleared all required stupid things. Good at least they finally accepted it. Will see what drama we will have in windsor.
