A passport question. My passport expires next year March, I have an AoR of Jan 2021 and Medicals passed Feb 2021. Assuming (fingers crossed) PRs are given before the end of the year should I renew my passport before PR issue and if i do do I have to update my profile/will it delay PR? Or should I just wait until the passport expires next year?
Renew your passport and update them via webform. I did the same and got a response that it's been attached to my file for the perusal of the responsible officer. It might create a bit of delay if it has less than 6months to run at the time they want to finalize your application.

Big news for me everyone. I have a ghost update this morning! I'm US citizen/resident, FSW-O, so perhaps the timing has to do with the border changes coming into effect today.
We have very similar timeline, I didn't see any GU. I am hoping good news is on the horizon for you and follows for rest of all.

Calm down guys :) each of us have different reason why we want to move to Canada :D It might be either a free good health care, work opportunities, better quality of living etc. :D

I’m expecting that we will begin to see PPRs issued in batches to US-resident applicants sometime this month but September looks like the golden month when PPRs will rain (as long as travel restrictions easing happens as planned).
The only red flag is that they had written border was surely opening for US on Aug 9th but for other countries it is ‘intended’ on Sept 7 if things remain favourable.. hopefully covid stays under control

I am sorry. I didn't want to pass comments that will hurt people. Just that I want to be in US very badly.
Sorry again.

Although you are a Troll here, I have to agree with you on this one.
It might be the free healthcare.
its free in the US as well if you are employed in a decent company. company pays for it.
its not free in canada. they tax the shyt out of you to pay for it.

This guy has confirmed it today. Hope they don't go back on their "will be open to" phrase.

I doubt they would back out on that move this soon. It'd mean the government hasn't thought it out well enough. In fact, with the availability of the vaccines, I doubt any country will ever go back to those overkill lockdowns. It's just unreasonable at this point. With the POF update, but especially the sharp decrease in CEC invites, FSW in September is very probable.

Unless, some "vaccine resistant variant" (totally a scientific possibility yeah sure) happens to "appear" just out of the blue.
