Actually I didn’t really assume before until an IRCC lawyer went through my file and told me that. Also regarding why MOM and business, I did give them a full fledged plan (can’t show them properties etc. as was advised against it) was told it makes the profile more suspicious. Telling the VOs I’ll come back and work in a job (which I don’t have signed or even if I did, doesn’t guarantee a visa) because I’ve seen people do that to show as a tie but it didn’t work because they were questioned (why would a company wait for you) so I just went with the closest plan to my reality. Master of management because the business will be related to my husband’s field (which is providing a certain type of services, non it related) so I have explained that I need the course for managing the business (as I have experience in brand management + marketing)
I hope I’m explaining clearly. This whole immigration application is a gamble really with of course meeting the pre requisites everything else (your story) depends on the VO and their gut feeling.
So I will go with the safest possible option for me:
Change my course into a higher one.
Put “applying from India” to maybe be lucky. Apply alone and let my husband be my home tie.
Confused. How can you apply from India, if you aren’t in India.

I haven’t yet and I’m researching about it.Can’t find the exact thread right now but have seen some people living in the GCC while filing the application when asked - WHERE ARE YOU APPLYING FROM ~ they input their home country and even go as far as putting their home country addresses but in the SOP clarify that they are currently working in the Middle East. People who have gotten rejection due to immigration status (like me, have read multiple go through the same issue) are trying that. I haven’t done it yet but will want to research more and see how do you do that.
Those who went for the route I mentioned above even got applications alongwith SOWP approved. In my case only my immigration status is the issue and traveling to India is currently banned!!!!!
If you see the trend of applications being rejected from the ME with good academics + funds + relevant education & professional experience BUT are being rejected because the VO just disregards any clarification and takes all applications under 1 umbrella of “No permanency in Middle East”.
How do you suggest one tackles that?

There is no tackle for the people employed in Saudi Arabia due to Saudization. However, there are 2 cases I know got study visa and SOWP together, but both applied for PhD.

You can mention applying from India only when you can go and submit you biometrics, medicals and passport in India. Else you may not.
Anyhow, applying from KSA is risky since years.

My biometrics is already done and I don’t need medicals! I will be applying next week and from India. There’s no way around Saudization I agree but the Visa officers here should be given some kind of special instructions to go through the file completely especially in my case where I explicitly showed my ties, assets in my country of citizenship and my SOP had clearly been directed towards going back to India after studies and not coming back here. The people you are talking about are the lucky TWO (only) who got it.
Unfortunately applying from a residence country especially the GCC where you can never get permanent residence/citizenship is senseless (now I know when I’ve done my research and thought about it). Will be applying from India alone. Still my point stands that expats in the GCC go through the worst experience when it comes to SP and SOWP.

Yes, there should be some special instructions. I am also an Indian living in Saudi and expecting to get a positive outcome on my SOWP. I submitted my profile from KSA. and just like you; showed ties in my country of citizenship.

I dont think GCC, its just the case of Saudi Arabia due to Saudiazation. This issue can be solved, if you get a letter form your employer stating we will keep your position vacant until you come back (or we will hire you back) for 2 years after studying or gaining experience in Canada. But I don't think anyone will do that. Not in my case for sure.

My spouse could get a letter from his employer but honestly that doesn’t work anymore. The VOs don’t consider future employment or promises like that as home ties. I have seen a lot of people try that and it didn’t work.

So you applied as a student and your spouse is applying SOWP. And you both are filing together?
Do you mind sharing which province you are moving to? and what program did you choose, bachelors, masters or diploma?

Better I will direct message you. If you have no problem please reply me there.

Hi! I applied alongwith him before for a PGC (2 years) after bachelors but according to the VO my previous bachelor was better than the PGC I opted for so I changed it to a masters program now and will be applying alone. I didn’t have any refusal reason which cannot be tackled with.

Hey,

I have read the previous threads. Just want to say that my study visa also got rejected recently from IRCC Riyadh.

Im planning to re apply by next week but I didnt get GCMS notes because it requires 1 month to reach. So I think Ill better apply without that. My visa rejection was on 4 basis- immigration, purpose of your visit, financial assets, and current employment situation.

Im planning to take a letter from my previous employer back in my homecountry stating that Ill join his company after my study from Canada. Will that work? Any respose will be appreciated.

Thanks~

Hi! I’m sorry you got a refusal. Unfortunately employer letters just aren’t a credible home tie. You need property in your name, some networth statement proving immovable property which will compel you to return. Can be yours or your parents which they prepare an affidavit saying “will be yours basically heired’.
please read the other threads especially the Abu Dhabi VO one, you will know what to do. Also don’t apply without GCMS, what seems to the the reason here is just general. Don’t rush into applying, I did that during my second application, now I’m filing my 3re application tonight after 4 months of research and big changes.
what’s your profile btw?
Program?
Education?
Work?
Gap?

Gap?
Program- 1 year course- conestoga for project management
Education - BE mechanical engineering- graduated 2016
Work experience- 2 years India & 1.5 years in Saudi
No GAP

Im rushing to apply because my classes will start by sept 8th and I think we need to apply atleast 45 business days before. And the other reason is that I have already defered from the college two times and if I need to get admission for Jan '22 intake it is really hard because I have around 32 backlogs in my engineering.

You’ve gotten 4 reasons and it is actually all the reasons which people from the Middle East get, if you want to you can go ahead. But as a person who has been reading and researching & with previous refusals myself, my suggestion would be to wait for your notes. Unfortunately no changes in the application + fast re application is just another refusal invitation.

ok.
My consultant is from canada. And he is saying the main cause of rejection is due to my low IELTS score. In Reading-5.5 rest all 6. Does IELTS matter because in KSA none of them telling it really matters and when I have checked Riyadh IRCC checklist- Language eligibility was also not there. And other point is that I tend to apply a bit late when last time that I have applied. Is there a problem if I apply next month because GCMS itself takes 1 month. So what are the possible solutions for this???

What all changes have you made from the previous application for your re-application. If you could provide me your mail we could keep in touch since we are from ksa.

Thanks
