Fair, that's why I said speculation.. but you just got dm last week too though... I don't know to much about applying from India but as far as I know you'd send her passport to a local vo rather than ottawa. There are some countries that only need to send a copy of their passport - those are the ones I'm referring to as stuck

Yeah. That’s so true. They are just giving DM to spouses but no PPR since 31st December 2020. @rrss13 is waiting since January for PPR. That is unfair. But students are getting PPRs immediately.
Please do NOT compare to students, you're just upsetting yourself with mistaken comparisons. These are completely different files, with completely different results at the end.

Students do NOT get permanent resident status. They have to pay before entering the country, and pay to remain. Their student status can be stripped at (almost) any time.

Permanent residents have real rights - most of the rights of Canadian citizens. With relatively few exceptions, that status is permanent.

Yeah I agree, but the thing is during this time, those who applied for Spousal sponsorship, they are likely to get more depressed, one of the reason being away from their partner. I have seen it. My friend is getting anxiety attacks due to it. She is so worried.
I am sorry for making this comparison.

I'm not claiming it's good nor that those stuck in this situation don't have reason to be stressed - but comparing to non-comparable things is just going to make it worse.

Those who are experiencing depression should seek support - mental health or community or spiritual or whatever else works for them. I'm serious - not just stress out on the internet. See a professional.

Yeah. I am helping her. In January 2021, I advised her to see a doctor and whenever she needs to talk about anything, I try to be there for her always. She is on treatment. (Therapy sessions and all) This pandemic and all the stress has taken a toll on her. This is the reason I keep asking questions here to help me understand this process so that I can calm her :)

They may be off loading applications to another Visa Office. Give them a call and see where they sent it if you have can
