COPR came in for my husband! Does he still need an eta to come to Canada? He’s from a visa exempt country. I’m getting conflicting information online.

Thanks for your response. I know this question has probably been asked hundreds of times. I didn’t know the the visa office in Tokyo could process his COPR. For some reason I thought that it had to be sent all the way back to CPC Ottawa to be processed!

How long does it usually take to receive COPR after PPR? We are living outside in Japan. We have to mail his passport/other documents to the visa office in Tokyo, and then they’ll mail his stuff to the embassy in Hong Kong. I wonder if Hong Kong will process his COPR? Or if then Hong Kong will...

I got decision made on March 21st and I’m still waiting on PPR. It can take up to several months. Unfortunately, there’s no way to predict how long it will take.

I haven’t bothered contacting them :/ I haven’t had much luck with the web form. They always reply super late. Have you? Also, you’re a July 2020 applicant, right?

I’m thinking of doing the same thing. We’re both living in Japan now and we’re waiting on PPR. It would be ideal for us to move to Canada in July. I guess my Japanese husband can come with ETA but would that interfere with our Outland application?

Just want to say that I’m happy that things are moving forward with your application! You must be thrilled. I don’t think you’ll get a DM letter. The next step is getting a PPR.

Does anyone know if the CPC Ottawa staff are working from home? I'm wondering if they're able to issue PPR while working from home... I need to be patient but it's so hard lol.
