Thanks for your reply. I am only sponsoring my wife so wouldnt that be just 1 in the "total number of people included in application". I am currently in Canada. I have exhausted my 5 tries for the day.

You can use a different browser or incognito mode as often as you like.

And yes, include sponsor in that field, eg two for married couple no kids

Nice.. So you got the SA and AOR on the same day ? wow.. What about medical and biometrics ?
Yeah! It was surprising. Medical hasn’t been requested yet, but they are using his biometrics from 2019 when he applied for a visitor visa.

Also, I learned the hard way that the UCI on the SA letter and the AOR is the SA’s UCI so that’s why it wasn’t working. It’s supposed to be the PA’s UCI.

Receieved biometric request on 2nd March 2021, application receievd on 10th Feb 2021. I have not receieved AOR or SA. I checked ECAS and it says Decision made for SA. So far I have not been able to connect to GCkey with UCI and Application number on Biometric letter.
Congrats. That means your SA is approved..

Have a quick question. I received my AOR last week and in ECAS, I see SA in-process and PRAS is in process. Besides, the customer service agent mentioned currently they are background check is in progress. Does that mean they are doing the background of the SA? Or the principal applicant

No, you put in 2 if it is just you and your wife.

You may have some of the information wrong. Many people report that they have put in the wrong amount of people. You have to include the spouse in the applicant amount. (spouse + PA + any dependents.) I had issues because I was doing the birth city, but on my passport and thus on my forms, it was listed as the state, so check to see if you are entering the right info that you had on IMM0008.

I think it should be 1.

Just today I received an email from IRCC Sydney that they have initiated a refund of $550 back. The email is as below.

This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class you submitted to this office on behalf of XXXX and family (if applicable).

A refund in the amount of $550 has been initiated. If you paid by credit card, it will be credited back to your credit card account. Otherwise, a cheque will be mailed to you at the address indicated above in approximately six weeks to eight weeks.

I paid $1685 in total for the PR application and I checked the fee calculator and turn out that I need to pay $1135. So, I am getting a refund of $550. Good that they opened my application. Any thoughts?

Application received: Feb 3rd
AOR received: Feb 25th
Linked my application in GC Key and ECAS

Did you see where the application is going to be forwarded? Is it NDVO or you don't see anything in the SA letter?
Next step is the Principal Applicant application verification process including background, security, and rest of the checks. Please track ECAS and GC Account. Good luck

It just says "
The Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) will be forwarded to a visa office for further
processing." it does not say where exactly.
I am tracking GC account regularly, what is ECAS? and how to check?
