Did anyone CEC inland received COPR after leaving Canada (for Christmas break)?

I left Canada in December and haven't received COPR yet (AOR May 8th, 2020). I didn't tell IRCC that I was temporary leaving Canada for a few months because of the fear they would move my application to the local VO in my country of origin and delay the processing (even though on the last GCMS notes I ordered before leaving it says "final: approved" but obviously no COPR yet).

I am wondering if they figured it out on their own that I left Canada and automatically transferred my file to the local VO abroad.

Thanks!

Hello Everyone,

Happy to share that my application is Finally Approved. Got a call from Kitchener VO and then the COPR via Email in an hour.

I am unable to open the documents received in the messages, is anyone facing the same issues?
hi congrats :) did they call to do an interview?

I’ve read one post here — can’t recall which thread it was. OP got COPR while outside of Canada, the email explicitly said that if OP is outside of Canada, inform IRCC. OP did as instructed and was asked by IRCC to return to Canada using TRV/BOWP and once OP landed, IRCC Re issued the COPR.

I don’t think you can use COPR to travel. If you’re NOT from a visa exempt country, you need a PR visa or PRTD.

edit: not the thread I’m speaking of, but related: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/pr-outside-canada-question.720895/

No I didn't, my medical exam expired on November 25th. I called early December IRCC and the agent told me that the officer was waiting approval to see if he could extend my medical exam so I don't have to redo it. So yesterday they finally extended it.
Awesome, good to hear this. I just applied for open work permit extension while waiting for my PR (it's been 6 months). My medical is expiring in 2 months so there is a possibility that my medical might expire while my open work permit or PR is processing.

I called IRCC today & agent told me that everything is passed and completed. File transferred from Primary Office (OTTAWA) to Secondary office (Etobicoke) for final processing.

AOR May 11, 2020
CEC Inland
All stages passed since October 7th
Medical - 2nd July
Biometrics exempted (refund received on - Nov 5th)
Under CN Covid pace

Till 1st Feb 2021 file was in Ottawa and was told that the file was in queue for COPR..

Any idea how long does Etobicoke take to release COPR...?

Hopefully it won't take long, but it's definitely a good sign that your case is moving. Hang in there and keep us posted!

We are in similar situation.
All stages passed since October
Biometrics exempted (refund received on - early of Nov )

Still waiting for COPR...

May I ask how do you know you are under "CN Covid pace"?
Thanks!

I specifically asked the agent and she replied YES you are in CN Covid pace..

In my opinion,

For most of the Early May applicants all stages are passed ( till 15 May) & files are put under CN Covid pace.

Late May files are on HOLD as most of them have pending Security / info sharing.

Guess you are very close now. FYI, another guy who is in similar situation received COPR very recently https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/may-2020-aor-join-here.686609/post-9194773

So hang in there!

One of the busiest VO's in the country, so you might have to wait a while for COPR and PR card.
