Congrats!! That's nice to hear that things are moving.
Can I ask what you provided for IRCC? my job offers me a training in October 2020 and I need to be a citizen to travel, just thinking if I can apply for urgent processing.

I am not sure about the travel can make urgent processing, b/c you know right now is still in pandemic.

It's a federal gov't job. I provided my employer's letter about my job duties and why this job need citizenship.

If you request urgent processing they ask for quite a bit of proof so faking it is pretty hard. Also the more people that lose their job or can't work, the higher the cost for Canada so from that perspective it is understandable that those applications receive some priority. Most jobs don't require citizenship but some do.

Yes, last year made me a financial hard time but they only want to see what is unfair.
IRCC called my manager 2 times to confirm am I still employed, there is almost no way to fake the urgent processing.

Hello fellas,

I requested for urgent processing after I received my AOR on Nov 21,(application received Aug 21st) and I called yesterday to see the status of urgent request. the agent told me that the request for urgent processing is forwarded to an officer a month ago and there is no way to know if the urgent request has been accepted, and suggested I should wait.
He mentioned though that my file is in process , but on e-cas I don't see it. He also said that the primary Office is Sydney and Secondary is my local office in Ottawa.
Any suggestions?

I would advise against this. It might sound like “I need my citizenship quick so I can move to the States right away”, you’re supposed to show that Canada is your new home and you intend on staying here for the next foreseeable future.

A letter from a Canadian employer showing you need citizenship to be employed is what they like to see and would consider. A letter from a US employer might make them drill your application unnecessarily.

I haven't heard anyone about that they received test invite for urgent applications till now.
May be we need to check on FB

I just updated a case of a March 2020 applicant in the tracker who had applied for urgent processing. This person got his test invite in December and has an interview scheduled for Feb 3rd.

Looks like your application has reached the final deicision phase, never heard that IRCC reaches applicants via telephone, though. It might be related to your urgent request and they want to know more details. Just reply to the email and give them all the answers they need. Good luck!

Applicants are no longer required to intend to continue to live in Canada once granted citizenship. This provides more flexibility to Canadians who may need to live outside of Canada for work or personal reasons.

You’re correct, but the operative word in your post is “once granted citizenship”, not while actively seeking urgent processing of your citizenship application.
