This is a generic response. Please be clear what is being referred to "If the situation is resolved"? What did you raise in webform?

This is a generic response. Please be clear what is being referred to "If the situation is resolved"? What did you raise in webform?

There are travel restrictions in place and you need to be exempted to travel if your CoPR is issued after 18th March 2020.

I requested extension as i got less than 40 days validity period on my COPR

This is really a dilemma. I have about a week when my COPR will expire and it seems i am going to take the risk of traveling as people in bad place because of their COPR expiration and i don't want be in same position. I am mentally in bad situation.

People who are in bad place are those who got CoPRs prior to travel restrictions and were ready to travel with flight bookings, job resignations and god knows what but could not make it.

If you have received your CoPR recently when travel restrictions are still in place then I don't think its a bad situation. Not sure how strict the CBSA or Immigration officers at the moment with people who are travelling out of exemption list. You should look for some real life experiences regarding that before travel or no travel. Good luck!

Hi guys, I've read the last 100 pages or so of this thread and would really appreciate someone clarifying my questions.

Here is my application situation:

• COPR issued before March 18
• Raised inability to travel webform in May
• Got generic IRCC email in May "your application will not be rejected" for covid related inability to travel
• Document expired June 10

Could someone please help with this:

• Raise "ready to travel" form >> get 4 pointer email >> send supporting evidence w/in 10 days >> get new COPR and visa (how many days??) >> travel within expiration of new docs. Do I understand the process correctly?
• Is the 60 day extension from when the new COPR doc is issued or from when you send the 'ready to travel' email?
• There are still "do not travel" advisories in my state and idk when they will be lifted. Is anyone else in similar situation and waiting it out before raising the form?

But will immigration officers really turn anyone back to where he came from because he has no AL ? Even with copr? I’m just wondering . Maybe they need to be this sudden travel by copr holders and let’s see if they will turn hundreds of copr back.

Application is in "approved" status. New medicals have not been updated yet.

Yes when you are ready to travel you raise a Ready to Travel webform. A lot of people submitted all the information required of them in the 4 pointer email without actually receiving a 4 pointer email, so technically you can do the same when ready. But yes that’s the process. As for how many days it takes between submitting the necessary information and getting an updated CoPR/Visa or Authorization Letter is unknown and there is no timeframe in place and people have been forced to wait with no clear direction as to what to expect.
That’s one of the main problems with this whole situation, is that people don’t know how long it takes to get a response.
Please also note that a lot of people are getting requests to do medicals again. IRCC was issuing unofficial extensions of expired medicals for 6 months. But many have surpassed that 6 month expiry before receiving CoPR extensions and now have to do medicals again.
Further, in regards to Authorization Letters time frames that have been given for dates of travel has varied for people.
Some said they had to travel within two weeks of receiving the AL, while others got 60 days, and some had a months time to travel from when they received the AL.

So as you can tell from my response there is no clear time frames for anything. It has been a waiting game for all of us.

Application is in "approved" status. New medicals have not been updated yet.

The chances of getting an PPR email are higher if your application moves back to "Submitted" status.

Applicants who received PPR on Nov 7 and Nov 21, their applications were moved back to "submitted" and their counterfoil details were vanished.

Let's hope for the best.

Re-medicals right now would be tricky as hospitals and testing centers are prioritizing covid admissions over routine testing/elective procedures. I dont mind waiting till the process stabilizes with ircc tbh. i just hope they don't rescind or cancel the pr because i didn't travel within specified timeframes.
