Hey folks, just a quick question. I got my BIL/Medical passed/ R10 completeness check (CEC Inland) on July 21st, 2020. So if I were to change my job or start a new job do I have to notify IRCC about it? Looking forward to some guidelines. Thank you!

Hi folks. Any May AOR has Eligibility Passed?
Its too early for eligibility given that your AOR is May 2020. It usually takes 4-5 months for the eligibility to be passed post AoR.

Right bro but I heard some CEC inland entire application is processed withing 3-4 months and they get PPR in the timeframe that you have mentioned. I think its easy for officer to verify everything if experience is inland and case is simple like no travel history, work experience in popular organization and completeness of application. Anyways, Lets see how it goes in pandemic. Everything seems uncertain now.

A complete application being processed within 2-3 months is an exception and not the norm.

So according to your expectations and experience what do u think will the processing time be for CEC class from now.
All of my friends got their COPR within 120 days before COVD. Even I’m expecting the same for myself.AOR May 15
Will there be any exemptions for biometrics for inland CEC applicants?

Each application is different and one cannot speculate the processing time. The recent CEC rounds had fast processing as there were no other FSW rounds and this no applications.

For inland PR applicants biometrics has been extended not exempted. Only for

Biometrics exemption for temporary residence applicants in Canada
As a temporary measure, you’re exempt from giving biometrics if you’re applying from within Canada

  • to extend your stay as a student, worker or visitor
  • to restore your status as a student, worker or visitor
  • for a work or study permit
  • for a visitor visa
  • for a temporary resident permit

see https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/biometrics.html#canada

Extension of biometrics deadline for permanent residence applicants
No application will be refused or closed if you aren’t able to give your biometrics within the period indicated on your BIL. This applies to you, even if your BIL says you have 30 or 90 days.

You don’t have to contact us for this extension, and you don’t need a new BIL to make another appointment when sites reopen. Bring your original BIL to your new appointment to show proof of payment.

My application status flipped from "your action is required" (said that since BIL received) to "submitted" today.... I tried logging out/in to see if it'll flip back, but it didn't.

Nothing else appears to have changed. I was really hoping it was a GU that would be related to my lingering medical review, but that hasn't changed either :(

Any change in status is a sign of progress.

Might it possibly because you have passed 30 days from date of BIL and the system automatically changes the status? Or might it be that they have now started to accept the biometrics taken with visitor/wp application?
