Hi All,

I am June 14 applicant. My LVO is DELHI and my Sponsorship Application Status is DM but Permanent Residence Application Status is still Application Received . I am worried and this is taking very long for them to send medical request and PCC request. BIO is done already.

Does it come to the linked email? or you log in to check that?

Log in on mycic and file shows "profile updated", but when you click in there's no change - they call this a "ghost update".

Hi

I need your advice. I applied for my parents PR. My both sponsorship and PA applications are“IN PROCESS” since January 25. In the beginning of January I was falsely accused by someone and have some alleged charges against me. I have been to the court and with the help of my lawyer, crown agreed to withdraw all the charges on the condition of doing some course but that will take 2 months So I have alleged charges against me for 2 months.

Just wondering do police send any report to CIC about charges or they only send when the person is Convicted. P.S I am alleged to commit but not convicted. Is this the reason my file is still in process? I called CIC and they said they are still working on sponsorship and there is no note on the file which she can tell me.

Do anyone have any idea about this or know anyone who has been through this?

Thank you
Take a chill pill. Charges are not conviction. However if you are required to counseling than you will be officially convicted of felony or misdemeanor or whatever crime occurred. If crown drops charges then it means nothing happened. If courses or anger management classes then it means reduced charges.

@robertp @bdidol
on MyCic account is says Apllication/profile update but no changes under any of the application steps.
They still say we are reviewing the results of your medical exam.
Any suggetioons?
Is that what you call a ghost update?
Yes, this is for medical passed. You should see the update tomorrow in the ecas.

I need your expertise again. When I thought I got a good grasp of things I got confused again.
So after my ghost update yesterday on MyCic there is nothing on my Ecas today about medicals. There is an update though saying we started processing ___ application on February 26, 2020. Further to this, on MyCic they started the background check. Do they start background check before medicals passed?
Would they start the background check if medicals failed in other words?
Any thoughts @bdidol or @robertp ?
Please

Hoping someone can give me advice. I received the following today:

Client Information: Please provide a copy of your marriage certificate or other proof
that your marriage is legally registered with governmental authorities in the jurisdiction where it took
place. A record of solemnization or marriage license is not acceptable. If your documents are not in
English or French, send a notarized and certified translation with a copy of the original version.
This must be received at this office by: 2020/03/30.

I assume they want my marriage certificate. Which was a part of my application. I got married in Quebec, and sent them my Declaration of Marriage or DEC-50. Is there a different document to be sent? Should I call IRCC?

Any advice would be appreciated

Wouldn't they be asking for PA marriage certificate, not sponsor?
