Yes, but at the same time when she receives AOR she will be on implied status. If at any time or reason documents will be returned the implied status Will be revoked. Is she out of status now?.
When she receives open work permit she will be in status. But in order to get the open work permit she has to be in status now.Is my application for work permit for her gives her Implied status?
Thank you, my own research too now is that PR may not be affected but OWP may be affected. I think I need to go for restoration of status now. Hope they will grant it and in time for OWPYes, but at the same time when she receives AOR she will be on implied status. i’m not sure but I think it’s a bit late to apply for a visitor stay extension but maybe you will need to apply for the status restoration. The whole process is a little bit confusing. You can be out of status and be on implied status for permanent residence application. But in order to get OWP u have to be in status.
We were in the same position but at the end we decided to extend Visitors day extension. Because being out of status does not work for us, too many risks.
Either way they win, we just have to comply. Good luck with restoration.Thank you, my own research too now is that PR may not be affected but OWP may be affected. I think I need to go for restoration of status now. Hope they will grant it and in time for OWP
Hello, I just spoke to IRCC on the phone about a similar situation. They said that as long as the person has a current application in for an OWP, they have implied status and do not need to extend the visitors visa. The reasoning behind this is that an OWP is an application of "Status" in the country just like a visitors visa is. So in their minds you already have an application in to extend your status (the OWP) and so you don't need to apply for a visitor's visa extension. Basically your OWP application is taking the place of a visitor's visa extension application. That is how the agent explained it to me. (Just don't leave the country while your application is being processed...that's when the whole thing get's messed up)Pls I need an urgent response on this, my wife came to Canada as visitor on July 6 2019 but the passport was not stamped for exit date. Though the visa expired March 2020. I read on cic website now we should assume 6 months is granted.
With that the exit date is January 6, I have applied for sponsorship for PR and work permit for her since November 15 but still waiting for AOR
Is she out of status now?
Is my application for work permit for her gives her Implied status?
What are the remedies I have ?
Thanks for anticipated suggestions.
Thanks for clarifications. This is really helpfulHello, I just spoke to IRCC on the phone about a similar situation. I talked to an IRCC agent today and she said that not every agent sends out AOR notices. Mine didn't. I had to phone IRCC and they looked up my application and said it was indeed being processed and everything was normal, just that the agent didn't send out an official letter stating AOR. So i'd call and ask them to check and get your application # to start linking online.Congrats to all who received their AOR today. I applied before some of you, yet I haven't received AOR yet. This is starting to make me worried and angry at the same time. It has been trend from IRCC, for few days they won't send much but on Wed, they will send few AOR.
I am at very edge to call and yell them but that can bring negative impact on file. But again where is our AOR?
This really sucks because I was hoping to receive OWP approve by Feb so I dont have to apply for Visitor Record, so there goes another $200. Its not only the money but our time and stress as well. So piss at IRCC.
1. Yes you are now November Applicant.Hi , so I have two questions first I originally sent my application on the 25th of October however it was sent back as we forgot to include NOA so we then included it and sent it back on the 25th of November so does that mean we are now November applicants ?
regarding the answer above we haven’t received our AOR and we tried calling IRCC however they require you to have an application number already which I believe comes with the AOR so I was just wondering how CanUk333 was able to get a hold of them without having the application number , do I have to key in different numbers when phoning them ?
sorry for the long questions
1. Yes you are now November Applicant.
2. You can link your application via other personal details (family name, passport details & place of birth)
1-888-242-2100 options 2 1 1 0 to speak to an IRCC repThank you , but if I want to speak to an advisor over the phone there isn’t any options other than keying in my application number ( I press 1 1 2 to check on my status , then it instructs to key in application number which I don’t have) so I was wondering if there was any other number I should have pressed instead to reach an advisor.
