Interview........
Waived
Yes that’s how it was with us as well , I had an indication of interview because review required was all over the notes . All in all the interview was intense but went well and he should arrive in Canada mid January
Our notes don't say review required. Does that mean we should not need an interview?

No that is not true. Family Reunification is a priority for CIC. They would not hold your file back because Quebec's quota has not been reached.
LOL..!!! I wish your stament was true, but I'm a Quebec applicant and I wish Quebec would not hold your file, but sadly the reality is that I'm just waiting for the CSQ and I called them (Immigration Quebec) and they told me that I have to wait until next year and if it wasn't for Quebec I would be spending this Christmas with my partner in Canada. ARE YOU A QUEBEC APPLICANT...?

Quebec case ? notes says put on hold to me thats crystal clear
I totally agree with you, I'm a Quebec Applicant and that is what I was told CRYSTAL CLEAR TO ME because basilcally all we are waiting for is the CSQ and if it wasn't for the Quebec delay I would be spending this Christmas with my partner in Canada...

Oh wow that is terrible then. I am from Alberta. But this hold back is just for Quebec Applicants or all Canadian applicants due to Quebec's quota?

Is your sponsor from Quebec?
I am the sponsor my husband is the pa. I live in Ontario . Our ppr was sent last week, just waiting for passports to be returned with visa inside.
I am not very versed in the quebec process, however from reading these forums it is indeed correct that the province of Quebec has placed all on hold until January 2020.

Just the Quebec applicants though right? Not the remainder of Canada?

It is ONLY for Quebec Applicants, because Quebec is the only province that has a say and manages his own immigration. Actually if you live in Quebec you and you are sponsoring a family member you have to file Federal and Provincial forms, unlike the rest of Canada that file only federal forms, if I'm not mistaken you that live in Alberta Please tell us if you also have to fill out and send immigration forms to the Alberta provincial government..?

As far as I know it is ONLY Quebec, because I have not heard that sponsors for other provinces have to file provincial forms and wait for the approval of their provincial government.

Here in Quebec we have to fill out and send Provincial forms after we get approved by the Canadian Federal government, and wait for the Approval of the Quebec government that gives you a CSQ Certificat de Selection du Quebec, which is NOT 100% automatic because Quebec has the authority and power to deny you the CSQ even though you have been accepted by the Canadian federal government. If there is another applicant from Quebec can expand and give us more insight about the Quebec immigration process...

Correct , in Ontario I as the sponsor did not have to fill out any separate federal forms or Provincial forms

Being from Alberta there were no additional forms I had to fill out. Just what the sponsorship guide had laid out. But this Quebec system is really worrying. What a draconian method. People can be stuck in line for 2 to 3 years possibly, if interviews and children come into the question. I have always known Quebec has been slightly different in terms of policy, but would never have expected that they would stop families from reuniting. How can the Government of Canada just stand still and let it happen? If its other forms of sponsorships like international students, or work visas and they setup quotas for maximums it makes sense. But not family sponsorships. Anyways best of luck to those stuck in the Quebec system. I thank God for being a Canadian from any other Province.

I'm now getting used to communication being a "once-a-month" kind of deal. I had forgotten to check ECAS, it has the line 2. Working on my file since December 2nd. The previous communication was November 5 to inform it had been sent to Mexico, before that was October 24 for Biometrics, and before that the AOR1.

Now waiting on medicals. I am not expecting anything these days so close to the holidays, and I know a lot of you guys here have gone over the year mark, but it's so disheartening when I see the spreadsheet and a ton of people that applied in the same month as I did are already in Canada or have received CoPR.
