But they gave you a seat already how can they be full? I guess you dont have much options but to defer, get proof of deferement and send it to ircc. Or better yet find a college that knows what they are doing but that means waiting dor a new LOA.

Seats are not confirmed until you get a permit.

Man I’m so stressed right now. On one hand- IRCC isn’t giving any decision and on the other- college turned it back on me. I hope this ends soon.

The college needs to fill their classroom and many international students don’t get their permits in time, don’t show up, ask todefer admission when they realize they only have a few weeks to move, decide to change schools/programs, etc. Starting 4 months later is not a big deal. Hope you get the permit. That’s the biggest hurdle.

But you usually have until end of registration to provide th SP.

Depends on the school. In programs with high demand or small programs may be more focused on making sure the program is full. The student is being offered a spot in the next semester.

I don’t understand, why SDS applications are taking so long? The processing time mentioned is 2 weeks and max 20 calendar days. I applied on 14th November with complete genuine documents.

In the past 2-3 years the application volume has skyrocketed. Nobody wants to study in the UK anymore. The US is concerned too expensive without a decent pathway to citizenship. Everyone is applying for Canada and Australia.

I have applied SDS visa from Vietnam for 3 months, but still not got the decision yet. My course start 2 Jan as well. Still waiting for the result.

Does anyone know if it's possible to withdraw application and reapply again? I'm worried my application might have been lost already since it's taking so long

How long have you applied? Did you apply via SDS online? I think you should send enquiry instead of doing that

It's been 54 days since I applied. I'm applying from the Philippines through an agency and they told me that SDS applications are going to Edmonton. Also, the ones that apply through the VFS here and not SDS get approval faster. So I'm thinking of just reapplying again to hopefully make the process faster.

Yes, sds is done by edmonton but they use online materials, so dont worry it is lost. I have been waiting for 3+ months

But how long do you plan on waiting for it? Cause I already deferred my intake to May and I just can't keep waiting like this. Btw, when you send a web form, do you put your home country instead of applied through Canada?

When the course start, I will defer to May. When send the web form, the required info is not included home country as I remember. Client id is ok
