I applied for IBM at St.Clair college for Jan2020 intake. Submitted file for Visa on
14th November (haven’t received decision)
When I checked my mail, I found that St Clair college revoked my offer letter because of Visa delay. What should I do now?
(1) try to convince them to allow a week’s time (idk if they’ll do that) for Jan2020
(2) fly in May2020

HELP!

You should ask them to defer your admission to May and update your file showing new admission letter for May.

This really sucks now. Biometrics were updated, Medical was cleared on 26th, I was expecting decision by first week of December.
God knows what they are doing, people who applied on 16th November got their Visa and here I am.

My uni hasn't revoked my offer letter i also applied for jan 2020 intake and i applied on 22 its weird that your college would revoke the letter a month before actual start of classes

I honestly don’t know what’s going on. They act at their own will. My question is- if you really want to reject my visa, why even bother with delays? At this point, after so much wait I hope I get approval and hopefully I’ll fly in May2020

Honestly your college is the problem here there has only been 21 days since you applied for visa that isn't much time the problem is with your college most colleges allow two extra weeks for international students to reach canada and join your college revoked your letter a month before classes? Thats some bullshit right there from your college

I sent them a mail yesterday, requesting for 1 week’s time. They replied that seats are now full and I can either defer my admission or take refund.

You are likely applying for a very popular program. There are a lot of international students who don’t get approval but don’t defer so there ends up being an open seat in the class even though there was demand for the spot. Each case in individual so wait times can’t be compared to others. May entrance is likely to be better. You can buy your ticket in advance and it won’t be holiday time so it will be less expensive. On top of that things really shut down around holiday time and there is less rental availability starting in January.

I don’t think I’ll be able to fly in Jan2020.
I haven’t received my Visa, College is asking me to defer. Best will be to apply for May2020

Did you read my post? I basically said that having to defer until January is probably a blessing in disguise.

Did you pay your deposit? Its strange they would withdraw admission before school starts.
I wouldn’t have applied for Visa if I didn’t. It was clearly mentioned that Offer letter will expire on Jan 06, 2020. Even IDK why they revoked it a month ago. They told me seats are full.

But they gave you a seat already how can they be full? I guess you dont have much options but to defer, get proof of deferement and send it to ircc. Or better yet find a college that knows what they are doing but that means waiting dor a new LOA.

Man I’m so stressed right now. On one hand- IRCC isn’t giving any decision and on the other- college turned it back on me. I hope this ends soon.
