Got an email today morning to get RCMP fingerprinting done for my father. This is crazy, they should have sent this request also along with last email of documents. !!! Now wait for another 4 weeks.

This is so brutal. People after us are all flying and we are stuck here not even moving like a turtle.

Thats true.
But we have no choice except waiting.
I have been told by the agent that province letter was sent on Aug 08 (the same day they started processing my application), but so far nothing.
I don’t know why they just pick random files for extra checks

No unfortunately Iran is sanctioned by Canada and US. so my mom has to travel to another country like Turkey to do biometrics.
in the past six months that she was here we were so happy cause we thought she is exempt from biometrics. Because she could not go to USA and we did not wanna go all the way to Mexico city. i think CIC knew it too that’s why they waited till the day she left Canada to request bio.
This would be her third biometrics in 5 yrs. 2014, 2017 and now this again!!!

i asked about biometrics multiple time here on this forum but unfortunately nobody answered me correctly.
Bio can happen at the end of the process.
Bio can happen after medical request.
Bio can happen after police certificate.
Bio can be requested by visa office and not cic.

@robertp please update line 237 deleter “Bio requested today”
No one in the forum works for IRCC and hence cannot provide any official process. All of the users trying to help each other by looking into the trends, their own experience and communication with IRCC. It is not fare to complained about the users who is trying to help others.

If you are a regular user of this forum, you should have noticed there are two issues still cannot be explained properly:

- Parents who are in Canada whether they will get a BIO request or not
- Based on what someone's LVO is assigned as CPC-M

Biometrics is a security check and nothing else. Based on your own situation and how you explain that to the IRCC, there could have been several scenarios - waiver, extension, deferred etc.
