Hello,
Can anyone please help me understand Country Specific requirement (for India)? I have some documents requested with SA Letter. One of the requirement is :
Country Specific Requirements: Please refer to the country specific requirements listed for
spouses, as these documents are applicable to parents and grandparents.
Country specific requirements can be found on our website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp.

What documents I need to provide for this?
Thank you!!
I have provided education docs

Hi everyone,

This is question to those who have submitted additional documents request like Travel/Passport Document, Country Specific Document, Supplementary Information - Your Travels (IMM 5562)
I have small confusion if somebody can answer that:

1. Do i have to scan and submit blank pages of passport? Or I have to submit only first, last and any stamped pages. Thought letter received from Local Visa Office mentions that “Please ensure to include all pages of the passport”

2. In terms of Country Specific Requirement (India): they don’t have birth certificate. My mother ins law has Higher Secondary Leaving Certificate + Voter ID + Aadhaar ID.
My Father In Law has transfer certificate from the university + Voter ID + Aadhaar Card. Is it sufficient?

3. For IMM 5562e, my father in law is principal applicant, he has added his information as well as spouses information for travel history. There is no dedicated box to provide spouse name, does that mean my mother in law has to also fill separate IMM 5562e document.

Anyone’s input will be appreciated. I have to submit requested documents today along with PCC.
As far as I can suggest..the answer to all the queries is a yes...provide all pages for passport, give all education docs u have in addition to aadhar, voter I'd, etc..and yes travel history for both .
You are better off providing all this information at this stage and not VO asking you again for it

Should I submit Scanned copy of PCC, Passport pages, travel history for my sponsored applicant and spouse via my Email ID or my sponsored Principal Applicant has to send those via their email id.

Does it matter?
Ideally this request comes via email...the person who gets the email, replies to that

hello

Can somebody please advise..
I have sent the PCC, Passport copy and additional documents required via email provided in the request letter.
Now my question is will they respond to email regarding the receipt of documents.. ?
How many days they take to finalize after sending PCC ??

Thanks
Nav
They normally dont respond for reciept of docs...they send email, when they need additional documents or info.

No clue for processing beyond PCC..ideally it should be within 3 months...but if u call them, they will not confirm any timeline till the time your overall application is within processing time of 1-2 years

Today ECAS status for PA changed from In Process to Application Received. Has anyone on this forum experienced this in the past?
PA application was transferred to NDVO 2 weeks back (mentioned in the SA letter).

No update on myCIC account. It still says your application is in process.

Hey guys
The most stupid upsetting thing happened to us today!
I have been waiting for DM for my mom since Sep 27th when all additional docs were requested and submitted.
My mom left Canada and went back home last night and this morning I woke up to the BIOMETRICS request letter from CPC Mississauga !!!!!

Has this ever happened before, biometrics after all this? The funny thing is that mycic shows her biometrics from 2017 visitor visa.

it was in our application that my mom will be leaving Canada on Nov 11th. I think all this time they were waiting for her to go back and request the Biometrics. Now she has to go to another country again just to do the biometrics!!

btw, mycic changed to “we are processing your background check” and “we do not need your fingerprints” which is funny.

Is there no biometrics centre in your home country?

No unfortunately Iran is sanctioned by Canada and US. so my mom has to travel to another country like Turkey to do biometrics.
in the past six months that she was here we were so happy cause we thought she is exempt from biometrics. Because she could not go to USA and we did not wanna go all the way to Mexico city. i think CIC knew it too that’s why they waited till the day she left Canada to request bio.
This would be her third biometrics in 5 yrs. 2014, 2017 and now this again!!!

i asked about biometrics multiple time here on this forum but unfortunately nobody answered me correctly.
Bio can happen at the end of the process.
Bio can happen after medical request.
Bio can happen after police certificate.
Bio can be requested by visa office and not cic.

@robertp please update line 237 deleter “Bio requested today”

Bio can be asked by visa office.
That is very unfortunate.
Nobody from the forum can give you the 100% right info, only visa officer knows what he wants in one case. We all just look at the previous cases and try to make a conclusion out of it. Sad to hear that this happened, but on a positive note, your application is in final phase of processing- background check. So don't overthink, just proceed with the biometrics. It will be all worth in the end.

I think almost everyone got same line that visa office selected was based on relative home address. And Relative here means Principal Applicant.

As we are the sponsor and Representative if we provided representative form.
Great.. thanks for clarify.. I thought myself as relative because I declared my self as Representative and from Family/Relative not as Paid representative.
However I notice that when I check status using PA details it shows their India address which I mentioned in the forms.
But when I received Medical letter than it shows our Canada address which I filled in the Representative address.
And the last time they visited here 3 years back. So not sure how they picked our home address

I need help with supervisa insurance please let me know if anybody deals with it.
Is there a way to apply for supervisa without Insurance in first place. If I remember correctly, without providing evidence of Insurance you cant submit supervisa application.
