Hi @robertp ,

Do we get an acknowledgement when we e-mail the docs to IRCCPGPemail address ? I just submitted all the documents but did not receive any auto generated email.

Thank you!

Congratulations. Yes, you do not need to worry about that generic line. You should be able to log on and check the status of the application as the "sponsor" using the UCI # provided in your pdf letter. You can log on from here: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do

Thank you. I already logged in and can see the ECAS status as application received. Am I able to now link the application to my cic? IS it better to link it on my cic or just continue waiting for emails?

Hi, according to the IRCC, linking the application for your parents/grandparents can be a good idea. Here's what they say on their website:
"After they get this letter, the principal applicant can link their application to their online account. This way, they can communicate with us quickly and securely and get updates and messages about their application online."

Personally, I have helped my mom to link application to her online account. I think it is a good idea to do so.

@YULIA-2016 @robertp
Please update line 467 for VTG I can’t find my other line. AOR received Sept 30 2019 for both parents and in-laws.

Okay should I link on mine as i want to keep track of the application or does my mom only have to do so? I tried linking on mine but no luck. It says application not found.

Try tomorrow.
1)After you login to MyCIC, you click on Link App to this Account button. Choose Permanent Residence in category and Family Class (Parents & Grandparents) in sub-category. This will open all the required fields you will need to fill up.
2) In the passport section, enter the info as seen in the originally sent passport of PA. you can use passport # and date or place.
3) Match the city and province name you entered in the original application.
4) count # of Family member = [ Sponsor + if Cosigner ] do not count kids + [PA + if Dep]
5) open link to see more details.

What do u mean? The subject line on the email says AOR. Whats a LVO
Local Visa Office (LVO) for PR Application processing after Sponsorship Application Decision made.
ones you get Sponsorship Approval letter you will know your LVO.

My parents application arrived at Ottawa on June 6th, I got AOR today (Sept 30th, 2019), but the AOR mention my father name not my mom.
Can anybody confirm is AOR must mention both parents name or just the head of the family?
I also noticed the UCI# what my father got during tourist visa is different from what mention in AOR.

Where did u see ur father’s UCI? I only see my(sponsor) UCI under the application number.

June 6th applicant .. and I received AOR too
