Didnt receive any biometric request just wondering if i can do some research before hand.

Biometric in US are appointment based. My parents are in US on visit.

As per system i can see only available appointment are shown for dates from 15th oct. And they need reference no from biometric letter so cant be booked in advance.

Is it always like this? Like the first open option is 15 days later..

Anyone did from US?

How does applicants or sponsors get informed about Medical Request (IME), Police Certificate (PCC) or Biometrics requests? Would CIC email the sponsor? Or will they send those information by postal mail? ... For your reference, as the sponsor I can check my mom's application status on the system and her application is also linked online.

@robertp Please update the tracker (Can't recall line number, sorry):
  • Medicals done Sept 19th, updated as passed on MyCIC Sept 26th.
  • Biometrics done Sept 30th (today), not updated yet on MyCIC
Got that form letter that everyone has got Sept 27th, am submitting PCC/ Travel form/ birth certificate/ Passports (old & new) later this week...
Thanks!

My parents application arrived at Ottawa on June 6th, I got AOR today (Sept 30th, 2019), but the AOR mention my father name not my mom.
Can anybody confirm is AOR must mention both parents name or just the head of the family?
I also noticed the UCI# what my father got during tourist visa is different from what mention in AOR.

No sure about your first question. But I am sure it is very normal that the UCI# is different from the tourist visa. That was the case for my mom too.

Hey guys
Got my good news today. I had sent out my file on 6 june and today received an email saying my file for my mom has been accepted under 2019 intake. So finally the file will move forward. They haven't asked for anything yet. However, they mentioned use of representative form. Its a generic msg regarding using a representative and so I just want to confirm with you guys that I don't need to send one as I just did it for my mom myself without any representative. It says in case I don't send the form all communication will go to the mailing address I had provided which is mine. Can anyone pl confirm if that's ok.

Congratulations. Yes, you do not need to worry about that generic line. You should be able to log on and check the status of the application as the "sponsor" using the UCI # provided in your pdf letter. You can log on from here: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do
