Hi Guys

Do you know if two photos are required for PR landing?
We received my parents Passports and COPR documents. There is one photograph on one of the two copies of COPR. There are no additional photos there for PR card. Do I need to carry additional Photos for PR card?
Hi ANSAL,
Did you parents get a Visa, if so how long is the visa valid for? I.e how much time are they given to travel to Canada?

Thanks

Hope someone has some idea, how much time parents are given to land in Canada after they receive the passport with Visa issued. I.e How long is the visa valid for?

Hi Sham

COPR is issues max till validity of Medical i.e. 1 Year from Medical exam done. But if passport expiry is before medical than COPR will be issues only till passport expiry date.

e.g. My parents did medical on 23rd July 2019 so max they will get 22nd July 2020. But if some how their passport is expiring on 31 March 2020 the max COPR will be issues till 31 March 2020.

Good Luck

Do all members of the application, main applicant and dependent members, need to land in Canada together?
For some circumstances, the main applicant migh travel to land in Canada later. So wondering if this is an issue for the members of the application knowing that each has a valid Visa.

Principal applicant must land first dependents can land later. Dependent can not land before the Principal / Main applicant

By the way, they requested that each passport is valid for 12 months at least.

Medical exam was done in January 2019. Online update massage was "Medical results have been received." Do they inform us if parents pass the medical exam or not?
on CIC account you can see that if it passed

E-Cas will only show medical received.

Dear members, seeking your kind suggestion on something. My parents received the request for police clearance and medical. Their country of origin is Bangladesh. Getting the Bangladeshi PCC is not a problem and it’s already in process. Problem is, they also travelled to USA a number of times and their accumulated stay is more than 6 months. However they never stayed 6 months in a row, it was 1-2 months max. The letter from SGVO didn’t mention whether the 6 months stay need to be in a row or not. My parents submitted the fingerprints to FBI and my mom got the clearance. Fingerprint of my dad got rejected because of insufficient quality. My dad now has to send his fingerprints again to FBI. This will surely delay the whole process and for sure they won’t be able to send the reports within the 30 days as per SGVO mail. What is the right thing to do at the moment? I am planning to send an email to SGVO as well as submit an explanation for delay through the IRCC webform. I’m also confused about one thing - I received contradicting responses regarding whether to submit a FBI report for stay less than 6 months in a row. It was not clear from the SGVO letter either. If the FBI part is not needed, then life becomes much easier. Is there anyone with similar situation as my parents? Any suggestion would be really appreciated. Thanks!
