Welcome to Family Class Sponsorship JULY 2018 thread - OUTLAND

Hi,

Feel free to ask questions, share thoughts and seek advice.

What happens after submitting my application?

If your application is complete, you will receive Acknoledgment of Receipt (AOR1) whithin 60 days, usually 45 to 56 days via email.

Then, if eligible, the sponsor will receive the Sponsor Approval email(SA) which contains the UCI (Unique Client ID) and application number to use for tracking the status of the application.

Then, if not submitted with the application:

1. Police Check Certificate Request(PCC)

2. Medical Exam Request

3. Request to pay for PR Card (RPRF)

4. Request to submit additional documents, 5. Request for any additional documents that were missing from your application.

At this stage, you can check the status of your application online(ECAS) or link your application to GCKEY.

Then you might receive a file transfer email to the Local Visa Office(VO).

God speed
Thanks for the information provided above

Is anyone else having problems signing into the Gckey today?

Hi Friends,

Hi Eric,

· The initial assessment to ensure the sponsor meets all the sponsorship requirements was finalized on November 19, 2018.
· The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if the sponsored person (the applicant) meets the eligibility requirements.

o the assessment for the applicant is still in process at the Canadian visa office in Dar es Salaam.

· The medical examination results have expired for the applicant(s).
· The criminality verifications have not been initiated.
· The security verifications have not been initiated.
· As per our current processing times, most applications in this category are processed in a timeframe of 12 months.Various factors can affect the time it takes to process an application. Rest assured that all efforts are being made to ensure efficient processing of the application.

· If the application is refused:

o the officer will send the applicant a refusal letter,

o a copy of the refusal letter will also be sent to the sponsor including:

§ a letter explaining appeal rights,

§ a Notice of Appeal, and

§ instructions to obtain a refund of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee, if it was already paid.

@nyira, so based on the response medical has been expired. Did you do a web inquiry directly with the local visa office? I wouldn't be worried about BGC etc if that didn't start. Sometimes they don't update the system. My husbands BGS, Pre Arrival and PPR was completed on the same day.

Do you have a lawyer?

Haven't had any communication since January 2019. It's been 13 months. Sent webforms, and no reply.
Background check hasn't even started as well.

If you didn't hear anything that means that they are finalizing things up. Don't worry about the BGC they just don't update it. Our application was almost 13montths with no reply and then in 1 day everything was completed.
Hang in there. Good news will come anytime now.
