Dear mbaleine, does it mean I'm safe for both the thresholds or I still have to worry for 67 points?
In any case, I refer you to this official page regarding the requirement to meet the minimum program requirements:

Accordingly, officers should refuse an application under section A11.2 if it is determined that

  • at the time of the ITA or e-APR, the applicant did not or does not meet the MEC, which includes the requirements of the program to which they were invited to apply; or
Requirement to maintain the MEC
Ministerial Instructions created under the authority of section A10.3(1)(e) list the MEC for Express Entry. Applicants must meet the MEC to be accepted into the Express Entry pool and must also meet the MEC when they are issued an ITA and when they submit their e-APR.

Your age used for calculation purpose is frozen on the date of ITA. Given that your ITA happened after your birthday, based on what you described, it sounded like you would have had 66 points, which would make you ineligible.

What seems to be strange, however, is that you received ITA at all, give that the draw happened after your birthday took place (because if like you said your points indeed dropped to 66, then your EE profile would have become ineligible and there wouldn’t be an invitation at all). Are you absolutely certain that on the day you received ITA you had 66 points instead of 67? Because the system sure seemed to have thought that you had 67.
@mbaleine, Thank you for the quick reply!

However, when I manually calculate my points, they sums up as 66 which is less than the threshold but when I'm trying to re-create the EE profile just to check my eligibility, the system allows me to create a new EE profile with same details, so it seems I'm fine. But the problem is I'm not sure where I'm making a mistake while calculating the points manually!

Is it possible for you to share an authentic calculator to verify the points please. Thank You!

If by authentic you meant from IRCC, then I’m not sure if there is one. IRCC has a calculator for CRS, but I can’t find one for selection factor points. I guess the most authentic source is this, which probably is what you have been looking at too..

Also, might not be the worst idea to start a dedicated thread for your question. Hard to attract attention from others in a deeply embedded place like here. I’m sure some members would have more expertise on this than I do.

@mbaleine, don't you think if the system is allowing me to create a new EE profile by using the same personal details with "Check Your Eligibility" tool i.e. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/come-canada-tool-immigration-express-entry.html
I'm assuming than everything is fine!

Hey guys,
AOR: April 29
Medical Passed: June 7th
Biometrics: June 11

My BG has been processing since then and no updates. Do you think I should call IRCC to check the current status or can I expect some movement soon?

Unfortunately, calling them will change nothing. Anyway, the application profile is not accurate. Some people received their pr after the MED with no updates to mention.

Thank you for the prompt reply. Has anyone in this group received PR so far?

Hi,

Need some help. I had a newborn baby recently and I uploaded the required documents. Along with the documents i also added my bank account statement to show incremental funds required. However I didnt mention the bank statement in CSE write up neither did I attach any LOE. Do you think they will consider the bank statement ?

Please help as I have been having nightmares about this. Do I need to send updated proof of funds separately?
