Student Visa Rejection ( Co-applicant Case )

Hi,

I have applied for Student Visa, Online on 1st of May 2019 with upfront Medical & Biometrics & PPC.
This application was along with my Co-applicant Common-law Partner Open Work Permit, In June 24th we got the Visa Rejection with below reasons :

1. No tie to home country
2. Course and program dose not match with current profile.

We understand that after doing masters going for Post - Secondary Diploma dose not make sense to officer, And applying with same-sex partner clearly makes no tie to home country.

After the refusal we have immediately withdrawal my partners application.

Now, Can we go and reapply separately one for studies with better college and other for Express Entry. Is it possible ?

1. There is no tie to home country as your partner is not in your home country. This is applicable to a common-law partners and married couples, the sex of applicant and co-applicant doesn't matter here. If you are single your home ties is based on your parents, if you are married or in a common law relationship, then it is based on your partners.

2. You need to give an explanation as to why you are doing the post secondary diploma after masters. If you know it doesn't make sense, then how will the visa officer be convinced that your reasons for studying are genuine.

If you really want to study, then I suggest you apply by yourself first and then after you settle in Canada, your partner can then apply for Spousal open work permit.

If you want to immigrate to Canada, then I suggest you avoid going through this study route and if one of your have a better chance at express entry, then you can opt for that. Depending on your case it may be beneficial to have a join express entry. Whoever has the best express entry score can be the primary applicant.

The reason I say this is that International student fees are more than double the fees of a domestic student. If one of you qualify for Express entry, then even if you want to study, you can do so at the domestic student rate, and not the international one.

If that's your motive, then chances are that you will be rejected if they suspect you of doing what your are trying to do. You are trying to use the study permit as a means of getting PR, hence you are getting rejected since they know what you are trying to do.

I mean with this student permit rejection, We can reapply correcting all our mistake and go for it again in Jan.
1. Showing Home Country Tie as one partner will be here.
2. Taking better course which justify our Study Plan.
