Pre-Assessed..
Yes
Although Canadavisa is a great forum, and extremely helpful I must say. But it is not so great when people who act like experts regarding a thing and then themselves don't know fully about it. They just keep flexing their knowledge and lecturing others and talk about it like they 'know it all'. Nobody knows it all friends, even I dont know everything but I definitely dont make stuff up. I have suggestion for all you guys who are waiting, dont stress yourself and no need to read to much into your application status, relax and chill. And especially don't go naively into websites like these looking for advice. Some people may guide your wrongly. A person who may look like or seem like an expert may also not be the one who knows it all even they it might seem so. Do your own research, make your own conclusions. And dont do too much of it, because it will only drive you crazy.

So now you want to invent names?
Look at any GCMS notes and the stages are clearly referred to separately as "Security" and "Security Screening".
"Security screening" IS NOT part of "Security", despite the same key word.
The processes have the same goal (i.e to ensure you're not a threat) but have different means and tools.
During the "Security" stage, they may or may not go deeper, and that's when they move you to another different stage "Security Screening" which is clearly marked in notes.

If your only concern is whether you pass your stages, then good for you, because you're not focusing on too many details.
But you want people to start using terms like SS and Comprehensive SS to supposedly make things clearer, but you'll only confuse them as the terms don't exist at all. You're just making them up now...

You want to base yourself on facts? Good, then you'll like what you'll hear:
Open any GCMS notes and see how the data is presented. Security and Security Screening are two distinct stages, everyone goes through "Security" but not everyone goes through "Security Screening". Cannot be any more official...

No amount of data you read and "analyze" will change the fact that SS takes much longer than regular SS.

Cheers.
Man, you're mistaken.

First of all, "security screening" is the stage that every apllicant passes through - @legalfalcon and @Immigration_guru mantioned it several times.

Currently, there is no such thing as "security screening" mentioned in GCMS notes - only "Security" and "HIRV".

Then, as @artificial.nocturne mentioned before, thing that people usually call "security screening" is officially called "comprehensive security screening".

Finally, which type of security screening is going on for a particular applicant can be seen only in CBSA notes, as they perform security-related stuff and IRCC is not aware of their actions - it only gets the final report from CBSA.

So the main idea is that people currently confuse terms. It has been written many times on this forum by senior members: we should stop using "SS" for comprehensive security screening, as regular security screening is just a regular stage that normally takes a couple of weeks. However, when one says smth like "guys, I'm under SS", everybody undertstands that he's in trouble :)

Is there any benefit of ordering CBSA notes other than knowing about our security?
It’s been 9 months since AoR and almost 4 months since security started as per IRCC agent(started somewhere in March).
Still waiting

Seems to me you are under Security Screening. Only CBSA notes can provide you more details regarding this. If you have not given biometrics I think your delay could be even longer. :)

Seems under comprehensive security unfortunately. Yes i have given biometric back in October.
But what information CBSA notes will give more other than security?
As we can’t do anything except waiting.

Yes you can't do anything but wait.

If you have given biometrics then your comprehensive security screening could be completed sooner :)

If its 4 months on security, chances are that your case has gone to CSIS also. So you can go for both CBSA and CSIS notes

I have an update about my case.

As I mentioned last week, IRCC called my boss to check my eligibility and I had a ghost update on Thursday night.

I called their agents today, and they informed me that my case was finally moved from Eligibility Recommended Pass to PASSED. Other then that, my Criminality still shows In Progress and Security Not Started.

The agent informed that the fact the VO has my file is a good sign (i don't really know how that interferes with the Criminality and Security).

Hopefully good news coming soon.
