I have done the same thing..experts in this thread had advised me to do so..also i particularly asked bank to write in my bank certificate that all of my fd's are free from any lien and can be liquidated any time..hope that suffice cic query but i am very much worried after @Petra2019 case..i also came to know that the officer does not go through all the documents and they just give a quick look to first few pages, which is again very stressful as they will not read the explanation given..anyways, i just applied for 2nd set of gcms notes
If you are worried, you can upload document again and ask for format from @meany23

I also had rr pof for FDs. Others suggested me to upload loe which explains that FDs are already liquid and money can be withdrawn at any point, and get a letter from bank that states the same. And that worked. I also mentioned total equivalent CAD amount based on exchange rate on the day I submitted my updated documents.
Also, I think they don't pick your file the moment you raise a CSE and it remains in queue until the next officer picks the file. If he has all required documents at that point the chances are that you'd get approval soon.

Most people have FDs, I don't think FDs are a reason for rejection. I am thinking if the FDs had a lock-in period or there was a miscalculation, either on @Petra2019's part or CIC.

And as @Micky345 said, it's a surprisse that, last few rejections have not been issued a Procedural Fairness Letter.

@Petra2019 can you share just the amounts, start date and maturity dates of FDs in your local currency along with their maturity?
Also, did you order GCMS notes? If possible please paste the Agent's recommendations from last pages of your notes?. If you had an RR for POF it should have some indication in their

That's true, they don't go through all the documents sometimes which was the reason they put me in rr pof in the first place. That's why I put LOE at the very first page. Here is the format I used:

Dear Sir/Ma'am,

I'm providing current POF as requested along with this letter. Please find below documents in this order:
1. Balance Confirmation Certificate (I used the exact heading mentioned on the documents): explain how many number of pages of document it is. In my case it was a three page document, first page only mentioned my salary account balance, second page mentioned all FDs balance.
2. Statement of Account (again used the same document heading): past six months of salary account balance.
3. FD confirmation Advise (provide explanation of what this is)
4. Salary slips of past three months

Please consider the following as of xxx date:

(I made a table showing how much balance is in my account and FDs, and showed the total at the bottom. I also mentioned total equivalent CAD amount).

I would also like to kindly notify that the fixed deposits are liquid in nature and can be withdrawn at any time, the bank has mentioned the same on xx document on xx page. As per my gcms notes received on xxx date, the fixed deposits were missed and not included by case analyst.

Please let me know in case more information is required from my end.

Regards,

Many people have rr on the maturity date of FD. And it gets cleared when the officer reviews it, but the bank needs to mention it on the Letter that it can be withdrawn at any time. Another thing is if someone used tax saving FD of 5 years for pof then that could be an issue.

Also one expert told me that most of the amount shouldn't be in FD but in your bank. In my case 95% of the amount was in FD, and according to him or was alarming. So he asked me to make sure to include it in the Letter myself that I can withdraw it ay any time, along with guiding them to refer the page where the bank mentioned the same.

Hai , I am a silent reader in this forum, but now I need to share my happiness with you wonderful guys.

Yes , I received my Passport request.

I am an June 12th 2018 AOR and after medical passed on June end, No update on my profile, Newer called CIC and never requested GCMS, But after crossing 6 months timeline, used to send CSE on regular intervals.

But based on the discussion in this forum , I assumed that I might be on RR for POF and Work experience with my previous employer,

The reason I assumed that is, My POF is a fixed deposit in one of the reputed Indian bank and the amount which I had in FD was little lower than the required amount for few days due to currency fluctuation on the last year, But when I received the first year FD interest , which was credited to the same FD account, it was raised above the required amount, hence by seeing the advise on this forum I send updated POF through web forms.

The second thing I worry was about the experience letter from my previous employer, It does not have the job responsibilities, it is just a formal experience letter stating my designation and start and end date. But I have attached few other documents such as offer letter, increment letter, salary certificates, Local government labour employment contract , resignation acceptance letter etc.

But since I was a PNP candidate and have completed my registration with Canadian authority under which my NOC falls, Hope CIC might have given some consideration.

So my observation is, The applications which cross 6 months time line are mostly RR for POF and Work Experience,
Remaining points which we claimed for AGE/IELTS/DEGREE have valid substantial documents.

So my advise to my future applicants, Please ensure your POF and Experience letters are complying with CIC requirements and formats.

Thanking you all.

@tobs, @cansha, @Prashant86_2000 arent they suppose to send some kind of letter first showing their intention for rejection and the applicant gets 1 week chance to explain their side?
Its not necessary... proof of funds is instant denial... job duties depends... anything else they moght ask you... if its st forward they will rejext it with letter of fairness..

Hi guys heard from them today .. was refused due to funds ... they stated that based on investments they dnt think funds will be readily available...in light of this im going to liquidate the investments and try again ... any suggestions?
You can try to appeal the decision by providing documents that shows you do have the necessary funds otherwise If you stand a good chance of getting an ITA soon you can just reapply.

@King5151 congrats on your PPR and thank you for sharing your experience. My AOR is June 18. I had a RR early on the process (early July); they asked me to fill a Schedule A detailing my whereabouts on specific periods. And that was it. My background check started in October 27, and therefrom my application hibernated for nearly 6 months. Last week they issued another ADR, asking me to fill out another Schedule A (now detailing my life and whereabouts for the last 10 years), plus a "Government Employment Form" (in which I had to detail all government positions and duties I have held; I have several), and Military Records (which I have none).

In Brazil it is compulsory for all men at the age of 18 to report for military duty. So all Brazilian men either have Military records OR a specific document which proves that they reported but were dismissed. I believe they are aware of this and have been asking some Brazilian citizens to disclose that information.

Anyway, seems something specific. But just thought I should share. Good luck to you in Canada!
