Glad to hear someone from BD
No, my wife didn't get any request for biometrics. Her medical was received on 24th December 2018. And after that no update.

Application submitted - October 22, 2018
Application received - October 29 2018
AOR1 - January 15, 2019
Biometric Payment request- January 26, 2019
Medical Request - January 29, 2019
Notifications- February 01,2019 ( File Processing CPC Mississauga )
Sponsor Approval - January 31,2019
Medical Passed- February 5, 2019
Biometric done- February 12, 2019
File Transfer Singapore VO - February 23,
AOR2- February 27, 2019

My wife's processing is very slow.
Following are the status:
Application submitted: 13 June, 2018
Processing started: 19 July, 2018
AOR1 received: 30 July, 2018
SA received: 9 Nov, 2018
Medical request: 19th Dec
Medical received: 24th Dec
...............................................
After that nothing.........................
Seems like the steps/order of your processing is a bit different than mine. There is no biometrics.
If you are trying to get access for your partner's application, this is the form you (sponsor) and principle applicant (spouse/husband) need to fill out. Submit via webform to the designated Visa office your application was sent to.

Backtrack check your E-mail in December and January about the application acknowledgement and transfer to visa center. It won't say on the status GCKEY about the transfer its usually sent right after you completed and pass medical.
Im the sponsor and I received the email.. yea no worries, just double check some people received it in JUNK FOLDER
I made a call today.
The officer told me exactly the same thing what is mentioned in online status. She doesn't know anything more. Remind me the process is about 12 months, 2 more month still left, so wait for the next answer.
Frustrating!!!
Mine was transferred to LVO on Dec 24 and no further update since then.
Where is applicant from? Has your file been transferred?
How about your background check? Did they start processing your background check yet? What's your bcg status?
She said exactly what is mentioned in the online tool: " Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check. "
When I mentioned that, I'm seeing this same message for the last 4 month she replied, "basically we can see the same status as you see. It is a 12-month process. You will see the changes once it is updated. I can not see any additional documents or any other requirements at this moment in your application. "
The last email that I(sponsor) have received on 27th Nov 2018, the application was sent to VO Singapore from Sydney. After that, I did not get any email.
My wife(applicant) got the medical request and medical result received on 24th Dec 2018. After that, she also did not get any email.
